Young is just another example that a couple of good months could hype a player for the rest of his career while consistency is often overlooked. He had a couple of good months for Villa towards the end of the 09-10 season (I think).

He also had a good couple of seasons before that which saw him named to the PFA Team of the Season on a couple of occasions, so more than just a couple of good months.

He might be a player who needs a lot of playing time to stay at the top of his game or maybe he just needs to be a focal point of a team to be effective. Either way, he seems to be going backwards.

Not denying he was good under O'Neil, but he only had two 'great' months where he was carrying Villa on his own. I distinctly remember a hat-trick vs Westham that had pundit hyping him for months.

Young is constantly looking for diving. If manures are playing as I have seen so far & end up in top four, then there is something wrong with PL football.
