Mourinho has won 4 Mickey Mouse cups, and only one FA cup in England, seems like he's taking the competition seriously because nobody else does, and he knows he'll have no problem winning it with the squad at his disposal and by that adding an easy trophy to his list. I mean, his other teams managed to win the cups of their respective countries only once... communicate

He could have easily ignored it like many others have done and are doing but it's still a trophy to be won and he sees the value of winning a trophy. It breeds a winning mentality and let's not forget it was the trophy that acted as a springboard for us in 2005 to more success. And for some reason, it's a point that seems to be going over Pochettino's head. Blue Armour, Reddish-Blue, Fernando and 1 other

Leif 6,006
Man City are taking ages to reach a CL final. How many years after Roman's takeover did we reach our first? 5? Then won it in the 9th year I think? How many years has it been since City's takeover...I think we're about to enter the 10th year. A decade of all that oil money and no CL final. They'll always play better football than us in this modern era, and always have more consistency I presume, but never will they match what we've done. I say this with the presumption that this season is their best shot at winning it - Bayern are ordinary, Barcelona aren't very good, Madrid aren't very good, Juventus & Napoli aren't threats at this moment in time, and then neither are we/Roma/Atletico. If they don't win it this season, it's a huge failure for Pep.
Leif 6,006
Could a mod create or sticky a General Champions League talk thread? Or perhaps a 'All other teams' thread? Milan 17,997
Lampard-esque strike from De Bruyne. Funny to think that every time he contributes to a Man City goal, Mourinho's United suffer. Eat that Mou. Leif
Pizy 19,381
City are just incredible going forward. Every player in their front 4-5 are class. They'll walk the league and take some stopping in the CL. Honestly, there isn't a side in Europe with a defense good enough to stop them so it'll take a Barca/PSG/in form Real Madrid to simply out score them. First time in many years I've been genuinely jealous watching another rival play. Other sides have had certain areas I envy but this City side have it all. Whats even telling is that in defense, they have a guy who cant get a league start for them(Danilo), who could walk into our team with ease. They've got about 3-4 squad players at any given time that would start for us. That in itself is embarrassing for a club our size. Bernardo Silva, Gündogan, Danilo. All would start for us. The they sometimes have either Aguero or Jesus on the bench as well. communicate

Thor 2,832
This is the best team to ever play in the premier league. Our lot clearly don't have the ambition City does. Frustrating to say the least. We did it first, and they took our model and did it better. Sure they haven't achieved what we have (yet?), but we have never played the level of football they are producing at the moment, and this consistently as well. Like someone said above, they have a team to be envious about. First time for me too. I see players like Sane, Jesus, etc... Even their squad players are dynamic, multi faceted players. Delph is an athlete that can play multiple positions. Same with Danilo. Then the fact guys like B. Silva and Gundogan are on the bench not even being a major involvement so far... Ridiculous. It is an athletic game today. Get the quick, strong, pacey players. We need Gelson Martins. We need VVD. We need Sandro. Nainggolan. Sanchez. Alonso, Cesc, Cahill, Willian won't win you the title. Not when you have to compete with a team that spent 300 mil, and 200 mil more than you. Not when you are in the Champions League as well. And these guys are going to get Sanchez in January, and widen the gap some more. Then next season they'll spend more than us again. kellzfresh

Works both ways, City fans aren't particularly happy with the fact they have splashed big money on the likes of Stones and Walker while we have Azpi and Christensen for peanut's. Also just like us, they tend to rest on their laurel's after title.
