I hate the bloody FA. They have stood idly by as The Cup has become ever more diminished. Every decision they have made about the competition in recent times has been wrong or, worse, stupid. Total betrayal of English football. Jokers from top to bottom.

Agreed - plus the fact the quarter finals are about as far as the 'small' clubs generally get. A quarter final replay to them against a 'big' club, is the equivalent of winning the lottery in terms of revenue

Not to mention the advantage of a home draw in the quarters is multiplied still more. Arsenal have probably been installed as favourites for every season from 2017 on. :(

I think its revenue driven by the non-terrestrial TV companies. Over the years they've slowly devalued the FA Cup because its not that popular with the global TV audience. That's where the serious money comes from. Theyd scrap it altogether, and sell their daughters as prostitutes for the right price

Di Matteo edges closer to being appointed Aston Villa manager after further discussions with chairman Steve Hollis

Quote

-Roberto Di Matteo spoke to Steve Hollis on Thursday over the job
-New owner Tony Xia was impressed by Di Matteo's record at Chelsea
-David Moyes and Nigel Pearson were also both interviewed for the job
-Di Matteo's last job came as Schalke manager, who he left in 2015

Aston Villa have moved a step closer to appointing Roberto Di Matteo as manager following further talks with the Italian. Di Matteo spoke again on Thursday with Villa chairman Steve Hollis, who now hopes to name the former West Brom and Chelsea boss as Remi Garde's successor in the coming days. The 45-year-old has always been the number one choice for prospective new owner Dr Tony Xia. David Moyes and Nigel Pearson were also interviewed for the job but it is thought Di Matteo's achievements at Chelsea - winning the Champions League in 2012 - were most appealing to Xia as he looks to build Villa's profile in the Far East.

Di Matteo, who still has a house near Birmingham in Leamington Spa from his time in charge at West Brom, has been out of management since resigning as Schalke boss a year ago.

1-0 Hull and Hull are back..again

Yeah and that sucks. Two of the teams that were relegated last year are now back up (thankfully QPR are not among them, lol). How boring! I'd have enjoyed seeing Wednesday get the promotion, because I'd prefer to have new teams or teams that haven't been in the top flight in a long time over yo-yo clubs like Burnley and Hull.

what the fuck is wrong with Millwall fans. do they have a brain disease. every time they don't get their way with their team not winning and then they start fights and become fucking hooligans. seriously it's just football.

Barnsley wins 3 - 1 against Millwall to be promoted to the Championship.

I am looking forward to League One 2016/2017 now that this situation has happened.

Milton Keynes Dons FC - (WIMBLEDON FC) was Relegated to LEAGUE ONE for 2016/2017 Season and AFC WIMBLEDON Won The PlayOff Final to be Promoted to LEAGUE ONE for 2016/2017.

the home and away game/match is going to be feisty.
