Wow, Klopp genuinely gave a fantastic interview and press conference.

This guy is a fantastic manager. Currently he is the best manager in the premier league(No, I'm not talking about current manager's at their peak.)

But he has a very, very difficult task. He seems to like it. The disgraceful British media won't help, but it will be interesting how he does.

Wenger, Van Gaal, and Mourinho are so far from their peak. At the moment, they are just big names, nothing more. Mourinho hasn't been a top manager for almost 3 seasons now, Wenger for 11 seasons and Van Gaal has always been up and down. The Dutchman is a manager who builds a foundation, not do that + get results. Pellegrino has never been a top manager.

I hope Liverpool with Klopp won't somehow make a comeback, but I hope they do just enough to give everyone else a kick up the arse. Premier League clubs are stuck in the past. The managers live on past glory(Mourinho, Wenger) or are simply not good enough(Pellegrino, Van Gaal).

Guardiola coming to City will be huge. For them and for everyone else. Maybe it will finally awake some.

Jurgen Klopp has given himself a four-year target to win the Premier League with Liverpool

Win the title in 4 years on a 3 year contract only in Liverpool :D

That may be a better job then his Dortmund spell. It is not easy to turn a mid table club culture around and make them champions. Also very tough since unlike Bundesliga, EPL has the same teams at the top every year. He has to overthrow the likes of Arsenal, City, Chelsea, and United. In the Bundesliga only powerhouse was Bayern consistently, others fluctuate on a regular basis. So there was a clear opportunity for Dortmund to rise to power. Also he worked with smart football guys like Watzke and Zorc, I give Watzke a lot of credit for Dortmund success.

Going to be tough for Klopp working with FSG and those mathematicians lol. They actually think a baseball formula for scouting could translate over to football. Baseball is the heaviest stat sport in the world, while Football is the opposite.

Benitez also signed for Liverpool as hot shit after winning La Liga two times and reaching to CL final with Valencia. I am glad that Klopp is not going to work for other London or Manchester clubs.

Right now he thinks his English is not perfect. Soon he will realize that he is actually too good for that place.

Liverpool fans share his mentality in a way. If the manager is above their level, they bring him down to their level.

I was in the pub today and a bloke said "Klopp is the man to turn Liverpool around" Whilst this maybe true, the main problem with Liverpool is there ability to throw money, big money on really average players. If Klopp can bring in some really good quality players, and most of all for the right areas, then it holds substance. Firmino is the biggest example, 29M for him was a joke and the list goes on.....Klopp needs to buy, but buy right.

Problem with Liverpool trying to win the league (or any other club outside the typical top4 for that matter) is that not only they have to be able to buy smart (like you said) but they have to pray so that FOUR other teams have a troubled season.

Like someone already said...With Dortmund, Klopp only needed Bayern to slip a little in order to start fighting for titles. However, even if he is able to build an excellent Liverpool squad with a middle sized budget (which is hard enough), he would still have to surpass both Manchester teams, Chelsea and Arsenal. Its not easy.

Imagine that 3 years from now Liverpool has a great in synced team and goes to make 85 points or w/e. The chance of either ManUtd, City or Chelsea to also have an amazing season and go in to make 90 points or so is not that slim. Its too much competition for Liverpool imo.
