CHOULO19 24,332 Posted October 15, 2016 Share Posted October 15, 2016 Just stumbled across the league table....despite all that has been talked about regarding a crisis and sacking Conte and all that, we're just 3 points off the top of the table! I get we haven't had the toughest starting fixtures, but points are counted exactly the same against any opposition. For me, win against united next week and it's fantastic start to the campaign. Well this is how media works. If Conte is 3 points from the top, Chelsea are in crisis, Conte will be sacked... Nah they won't walk this league because Epl has plenty of good teams and city is not a super team like Barcelona or RM. I'm hoping for a score draw here. We need to gain ground on Liverpool but I don't want manutd to overtake us. This season is so annoying, we are competing with Mancity, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manutd for a top 4 place. So we need two teams to drop off for us to get in and only manutd seem to be the ones who are not playing well so far. At first I was thinking that just beating the smaller teams as we've been doing so far could be enough to make it, but it seems we need to at least not lose to our competition to make it. In the past seasons, Arsenal could lose to the big teams and still make it but now I'm not sure that will be enough. Harder now than ever before to get champs league. Several teams who are doing realy well. I always hated Pool and Spurs and still do, but I actualy respect and like Klopp and Poch. Gonna be interesting to see who comes on top. City is perhaps just a tad stronger than the rest, but still not too strong. While its alot harder for us to win and come on top, I like other teams like United, Pool and Spurs present a good challenge nowdays.
