Conte at Spurs is much easier to handle than at ManUre from a pure rational perspective but it does itch me a little bit that he would go to a rival despite how much he is still revered by Chelsea fans. Anyway, there is not much loyalty left in footy, esp from managers.

cheers Nuno for beating City tho. Really weird why Levy is so trigger happy now after giving worse managers like Mou, Jol and Ramos years. Might be smth personal behind that as well.

Nah, a few years ago Conte himself said that Chelsea was a matter of past for him. His connection here was never really going to stop him from doing things.

Think we are all forgetting a crucial factor, even before taking into considering Conte and Levy butting heads.

Will the Spurs players want yet another conservative manager?

If Conte makes them win things, doubt they will care. That was the selling point with Mourinho, no?

Glad that we have played Spurs once in the league already this season.

This is the same man who played and managed Juventus and has connection with the club but went on to manage Inter. Are we really surprised that he's willing to go to Spurs?

If Conte did the same with Inter being an ex Juve Captain and legend, what makes you think he won't do the same with Tottenham?

He had the taste of CL exposure and money, he will want that back again.....they are desperate as fuck.

Conte is more of a fit for Spurs than Nuno was ever going to be. That squad looks like it has to play a back 3, with wingbacks like Regulion and Emerson/Doherty.

Be interesting to see if they finalise a deal for him now after failing 4 months ago. And if it falls apart or lasts.

Jol was pretty good, consecutive 5th place finishes with a bang average squad.

Regarding Conte, he went to his beloved clubs major rivals so he was never going to spare us if the chance came along. I do think we'll smash them at The Bridge in his first return, I believe Jose's thumping on first return was karma for the way he behaved at the end of his tenure and I Conte's due some of the same.
