With the recent rumours of Falcao to Monaco, Lewandowski to Bayern and Cavani to Madrid/City there won't be many top tier available strikers left. Signing Rooney for 25m-30m wouldn't be that bad, especially when you consider Falcao and Cavani are costing close to 60m euros each! Another important thing to consider is that he's at the perfect age where in time we'd slowly be able to faze Lukaku into the first team, rather than signing a 24 year old striker which would make it harder for Lukaku in future

This is just a small ripple in the water that will be somewhat a massive wave when the madness of the summer window opens.

If you can allow yourself not to get dragged in you will be fine, if not, your head will fart until the end of the window.

I really don't get the argument the he's had a poor season or that he's past it. He ha 12 PL goals this season and is one of only three players (with Mata and Walcott) to get into double figures in both goals and assists in the PL this season and all that while playing out of his usual striker position.

You would think we would have learned our lesson of buying forwards who have seemingly passed the peak of their powers!!

Rooney COULD be very good for us, but i do not think it is worth the risk at all and we would be better off looking elsewhere...
