Is Mangala really worth £30? Plus we're getting Schurrle so that blows the £100 million figure away.

Well it is Porto, who are a pain in the ass to deal with as we know. That is his release clause, he is worth imo around £20m max but we will have to pay that extra because Porto don't negotiate anymore nowadays, they just want the release clause paid like Hulk, Falcao, James. I was just being hypothetical though, it is unlikely to happen.

I'm not even worried about this transfer TBH; Cavani is great no doubt - but it's not like missing out on Hazard. Hazard is a much bigger and better signing than Cavani IMO.

No this is really serious, if we lose out on this guy we will have no chance of competing with MU and City next season, nvm Bayern, Barca, Real in the CL. This guy is the difference between fighting for title and just settle for 3rd place. And don't even bring up the fact we are better than those 5 teams I just mention because we ARE NOT, EVEN WITH JOSE. How can you say Hazard is better when Cavani has never signed for us?

If we don't sign this guy it will be a slap in the face, ANOTHER TOP CLASS FORWARD WE HAVE MISSED OUT ON. Aguero, Benzema, Tevez, David Villa, Falcao...All of these were linked to us and we didn's sign any of them because of the same old money issue. Just do it, aren't we a top club? Why are we afraid to spend big now? If we deemed these players too expensive then why on Earth did other teams willing to pay those prices?

SO WE MUST GO ALL OUT AND GET THIS GUY, no other choice if we want to compete seriously next season. Remember, he is the last top class striker available left this summer. Lewan, Rooney, Suarez will not join us. Falcao already left. Gomez, Dzeko and Jovetic are not good enough.

You can write all you want but at the end money talks.

And if real madrid wants to pay more he will go there.
Not to mention the good wage packet is another important factor.

Yeah yeah...money bla bla...it's not about that, it's about some of our fans who seem to look to the club as if it's inferior to some others...

Well the inferior complex are for those clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool that have a lot of history, but don't have the money or squad to attract players.

But for me is simple. If Chelsea does not want to spend the release clause or more, then some other team will.

Nothing too hard to understand about that.

Its easy for us from Europe or NA to say the PL is the place to play but back before chelsea became a world contender there was always madrid.. saying that peoples dreams due change and with that said Cavani to Chelsea is what is what is required

I think the fact that south Americans speak either spanish or Portuguese depending on what countries they come from is a big factor too. Shouldn't put Cavani off coming tho,he's shown he's more intelligent than Tevez already in in learning a new language in Italy.
