Duppy Conqueror 1,539
Would have been perfect use of the remainder of this dreadful season to have next seasons coach get a head start to judge the squad before we have to begin to offload 8-10 players before september. But alas.. OneMoSalah

Hell, some of the managers 'available now', might not even want to join mid season. Wouldn't surprise if Nagelsmann wants to wait. What's weird? I feel like we are discussing potential coming of some non-existing perfect manager most of the time. Ancelotti won't come, Pep won't come, Tuchel lol, Allegri and co are not the level, so how could our choice improve? After the season, we have few TOP clubs looking for manager. We got luck AF that Nags and Enrique became available, as a while ago we were discussing mostly Poch. OneMoSalah 8,886
A failed ex manager getting a caretaker job here again is utterly embarrassing by all accounts. Really is. Theres still players here who he managed previously, someone that he publicly slaughtered (Kepa), someone that he marginalised (Azpilicueta), that he couldn’t find a defined a position for (Havertz) and no doubt, many others in the dressing room who weren’t regular figures so it is really a shoot ourselves in the foot move. Granted there are new faces but fuck me, its brutal. Publicity stunt to try and save face from Boehly & co I think - appoint someone who the media had said was ruthlessly sacked, who was a fans favourite as a player, to try hide the fact they made an error sacking Tuchel then hiring Potter. Vegetable 830
Just no more english managers anywhere near the club anymore please. After all the shit we seen with Potter, it's clear that journos and a lot of fans are losing any grasp of reality with their fella at helm. They are already trying to push Rodgers here. gdlk 286
Complete joke of club and board! And in summer when Nagelsman choose different club we will be complete comedy club.. Fernando, kexik and OneMoSalah 1
Vegetable 830
And what is Lampard supposed to do here anyway? We need someone to hit the ground running and turn the ship around. If it's just to have a body on touchline and take the hits to lose 10 games that left, just stick with Bruno, not the enlogment of Potter's suffering. gdlk 286
I cant see any logic in that move lol. Instead appointing a manager now who will met squad now and till summer will know what players to remove and bring, stupid board is doing some stupid things. I cant imagine whatcomedy of club we will be with appointing Lampard and we dont win even 1 match with him.. Which is possible to happen. Vegetable 830
I'm indifferent to Lampard tbh, what I'm worried about is "owners going on extensive search". Yesterday we've got news that their understood their mistake and decided to stay away from making decisions about things they have zero knowledge about and leave it to football people. Why change the reasonable stand day later and continue to push for their own version of Ted Lasso again? On several occasions had I tried to find some deep wisdom and smartness in their actions, but let's face the truth, there's none of that there. If we pass on Enrique and Nags and go back to "vision" and "long term" bullshit with Potter 2 (or De Zerbi, because they wanted Brighton but we were next best thing for sale) I'm done. Few positive results, few more goals scored, and then the match going supporters influence a naive owner into giving him the job long term. only hope is that the deal with a new manager will be signed sometimes before the end of the season. 1 hour ago, Cosmin said: Good for him and for us. But what would "a good job" even mean? Getting some results? That wouldn't matter anyways. Winning the UCL? Impossible. From my point of view, I hope we smash Arsenal and their title challenge. good job would be cl finals surely.

Duppy Conqueror 1,539
Would have preferred Thiago Silva as player interim coach and potentially have him as an assistant to the new coach,or another coaching role in near future. or Drogba (might atleast have a positive outcome with our forwards) Edited April 5, 2023 by Duppy Conqueror
