Tbh first close to 30mins were our best period this season. Now goal is to look like that all game. Chilwell for Cucurella and Kante/Kovacic for RLC will also help. Sterling is also bigger goal threat over Madueke.

Also is it true that FFP and UEFA only check teams in European comps? If we don't qualify we don't have to worry about that.

How many more chances?

Started brightish then faded. AGAIN. Before being shite.

We are far too easy to play against, the penalty no penalty whatever (turned the game off by then because it was a poor watch) is just an excuse either way that could make people to well he was unlucky but that was not a performance worthy of a win from what I watched up to after (barring first 20 minutes or so, did we do anything?)

Out of his depth. Considerably. Making the players look shite too by saying things like a “step in the right direction performance wise”, I mean do we have mid tabke players? Is this level of performance acceptable for the personnel we have?

I am so absolutely fucked off by this guy and how he seems to be getting no bad press in the UK re his job and how he’s doing. Theres always an excuse. Penalty/no penalty. Injuries. Suspensions. Enough. He’s not good enough. Not one thing where you can notice any signs of notable improvement from since he came in barring the new manager bounce which is usually 3 or 4 games. He’s had that.

Also If I see the “he tore AC Milan a new arsehole twice ” post again in response as to why we should get behind him I am going to cry 🤣

One of the main issues for me is, sadly, his personality. If Jose saw the photo of Mount laughing and joking? Pep? Klopp? Conte? They'd be told what's what, does Potter have that gravitas about him? Not for me. For all the good stuff I saw in the first 25 minutes, the rest was dire, couldn't get the lads up for the second half, terrible substitutes do not mask the fact that the squad has been besieged with injuries to key players and we have new players adapting/not match fit.

You can't bring in a psych coach from New Zealand to be a pair of bollocks on the training pitch for you, you either command that respect or you don't , and at a club like ours, which goes in cycles, it's harder than anywhere else because if I'm say Ziyech, I'm thinking Potter is going so why do I care.

Theres another issue that is quite nauseous and devaluing the game. After the last few games, and its not just Chelsea, opposing players hugging and joking with each other in the tunnel and doing the same at the end of the game. Each match bordering on a training exercise. They all know each other, and seem to treat win lose or draw as a joke. Social media to blame. Whatever happens on the pitch, theyre fabulously rich.

I dont want to see players kicking lumps out of each other ala Roy Keane, but the rivalry has gone, and subsequently to a certain extent the passion and value to fans. Potter, and many managers fit this anodyne version, getting a bit boring

His whole demeanor and personality gives off the vibe that he’s a contest winner or something. Like a guy who can’t believe he’s in the position he’s in. And honestly, that’s fair enough because in his wildest dreams he couldn’t have imagined himself in this job so soon.

But it’s so obvious that he is treating the job as though there’s no fire under his ass at all and he’s still at Brighton. Where he can lose or draw games and it’s no big deal because they weren’t ever expected to do much other than play some nice of football and stay in the PL.

I’m sure the players don’t mind him and think he’s a genuinely pleasant guy (and you can see that from the outside) but he doesn’t seem like someone with the CV or the reputation to imprint any kind of personality on the team.

The job is simply too big for him. Nice guy, solid coach for a specific level of club, will go on to have a nice career building up some other small or medium sized club. But we need a big personality who can connect with the players, get full buy-in, and someone who can create an instantly recognizable identity.

I wonder sometimes whether he refuses to play the strongest team available so that he can hide behind that excuse.

If he restores Cucurella or Gallagher to the starting 11 again he's asking for it.

I wonder whether the players should be told to throw a few games just to see the end of Potter.   It's honestly getting to that point, our form line has been pathetic for a long time.

We used to complain that Lampard was out of his depth managing Chelsea...but was it really that much worse than what we've seen under Potter?   Lamps can at least say that he somehow kept us in the european places....whereas Potter is leading us down the table and there's every chance we finish 10th this season.

lampard is clear of potter. He literally had no transfers and got top 4, a cup final and a couple of wins against top teams in the league. I'm not saying lampard was good, he was rubbish but still pisses on potter
