fine for me. Get in Sancho, Lacroix, a DM and Hakimi if we mut and be done with it. I don't mind insisting with Kai as false 9. If we have Sancho we will not even need to play with Werner all the time.

The club must hurry and decide because it's a matter of days before United get Sancho at this rate.

United just had a bid rejected for not meeting their asking price. Wouldn’t say its as its a matter of days yet.

Plus I would say its safe to say we aren’t that particularly interested in Sancho or we would also be in talks for him, would you not say?

If what Matt said is true, we want to make sure we tried everything in our powers to get a world class striker if not we might use the money to improve in other positions, this is where Sancho was mentioned as an alternative, with Ziyech rumours about him leaving, it does make sense but it looks like were fucking around not knowing what to do with Haaland's price.

As for United, they always lowball and end up paying exactly what other teams wants, I've no doubt the deal is very close but if we open discussions maybe we still have a chance to convince Sancho.

I was all in for Lukaku a week or two ago before we were linked with Haaland. But if Haaland is impossible this summer I wouldn’t want us to settle for any other striker. It’ll likely be much, MUCH more difficult if not impossible to get Haaland next summer when every big club in Europe can afford him but I guess we should gamble.

If no Haaland this summer, strengthen the team as much as possible in other areas and hope like hell Werner, Havertz, Pulisic, and Ziyech step up. Don’t shackle ourselves to a lesser striker and then see Haaland move to a rival.

Thats why they want to buy Depay and wanted wijnaldum (left to PSG) and signed Aguero... all free transfers...

They don't have a lot of money

you are talking about Barca, not Real

the post you replied to was talking about Real

I think trying to get a CF in - regardless of who it is/was going to be ie Haaland, Lukaku, Kane etc - was always going to take longer than the one day the transfer markets officially been open for though so to say “it looks like we are fucking around” already regarding a price is extremely premature.

If we don’t get a CF, aye you’d think we would strengthen other areas but I can’t see attacking midfielders/wingers being extremely high up that list or Ziyech being sold after only a season either. Right wingback, centre back and central midfield are more interesting and areas which we could do with something else in be it depth/competition or improvements.

ManU are 20M away from Dortmund and they are not close on the structure of payments. Then they have to work out bonuses. It sounds like there is a lot of work to go and Dortmund has shown they will not blink first.

Agree with that, but why is everyone ignoring the age old problem of Kova, Kante & Jorginho?

Looks like we'll be going with a back five and any two from the above three. That leaves us with just three players to create and score the vast majority of our goals and that simply isn't enough!

I must admit I've never seen Sancho play, so I can't even give an opinion on what I think he's worth. I will say though, I've seen and heard quite a number of people say he's hugely overrated and won't be all that in the Premier League.

BBC said Utd wanted to pay the fee over 5 years and dortmund would only accept 4 years. Also BBC not sure if Utd would revise their offer and have alternatives for that position if Sancho move doesnt materialise.

I want to believe.

From Haaland to Martinez? Geez..... what a drop. I would say get Sancho at that price. What happened to Roman suddenly? I thought Mariana was onto the Haaland deal. Haaland is what we need not Martinez.

Maybe it's time to give Billy Gilmour a serious look in to the first team. 🤷‍♂️

Martinez is a massive no go. I mean if a expensive player is liked by Barca the rule should be:

Do not buy under any circumstance, even if that means death.

I have had a few people tell me the same thing. Reoccurring comments seems to be that he isn't great without space and it is questionable how he'll deal with the physicality (although to be fair, that last one is typically laid at any player not currently playing in the PL unless they're an absolute beast.)

I am happy to see Werner struggling and Havertz as false 9 but no Martinez please. We should strike a deal for Haaland considering the future. Haaland will be a great investment and he is a must buy.
