Really just do not understand why we don’t throw £80m at Inter for Barella. Unlike Brighton, Inter desperately need money and are always on the brink of the financial cliff these days. There’s no way they’re turning that sort of money down. We can even give them a super favorable price on Lukaku as part of negotiations, ffs.

Absolutely true.
Need to consider our current squad especially in midfield area is very young, i think we really should get atleast one experience midfielder.
And Barella would be brilliant signing

And what about cherky rumours? just seem very quiet recently.
some people said he is bit slow, but cherky reminds me a bit of gustavo payet, he didn't really fast either, but still capable of doing something great in pl, right.
If cherky could be our own payet, it will be very great.
We desperately need this kind of player in our attack. If not cherky, wirtz, bernando also still decent option

Imagine we could land barella, dybala, cherky, lavia and veiga
I think the squad will be very promising and exciting for the upcoming season, even without marquee signing like caicedo

Yeah don't care about Gallagher peanut value, but the issue with bad players in the roster is that they end up on the pitch, which is not what we want.

Getting worried with Arsenal now. Good signings and they just got rid of Xhaka. 😕

United quickly moving on from Mount and are now bidding for both Onana as their new keeper and Hojlund as their new striker.

Feels like everyone has kicked into high gear whilst we’ve been haggling over Caicedo for weeks. If Brighton are asking for stupid money we need to just move on and get someone else.

All of our rivals are getting their key, must have players in well before preseason matches start. We need to do the same. The only move that started and materialized this summer is Jackson. And we don’t even know if he is being considered as a starter yet. Nkunku was done months ago. We should’ve had at least 1 new midfielder in by now.

This is United's 2nd bid for Onana in 2 weeks and is likely to be rejected again. They also low balled an offer for Hojlund which will also be likely rejected. Can't ignore they spent over a month to try and secure Mount. Their way of business is chaotic.

We on the other hand, are actually meeting with Brighton face to face in order to complete this. No random bids every other day. Face to face negotiations to get this done given how much of a ball breaker Bloom is. Hasn't even been a week yet.

- Jackson and Nkunku already in.

- Santos in

All we need is a CM and GK and we are fine.

I want to see us making concrete offers for the players we really want like they are. They may fail with their initial bids but it shows the target players intent. It turns their heads and makes them determined to get their moves.

If we put a bid in for Cherki for example or Wirtz, they may think it’s an opportunity they can’t pass up and ask their clubs to make it happen.

I think we are taking our time with Caicedo because we don't want to get rinsed again by Brighton ala Cucu. Also the fact that Brighton had an agreement with Caicedo that if a reasonable offer comes in they would not get in the way, helps us in that matter. £85M is a very reasonable offer, imagine Caicedo would not be too happy if Brighton did not hold up to their end of the deal, not to mention the message it would send to the other players.

Not sold. New Fekir could be? I remember plenty here wanted us years ago to get Fekir for 60m, Icardi for 'only' 100m and Sancho for 120m. Imagine what failures they would be.

I don't see how Brighton can claim the transfer fee for Rice as any kind of benchmark for Caicedo.

Rice is much more experienced at the top level (+200 PL games for Rice vs 45 for Caicedo) and not to mention Rice being a HG player with the infamous English tax included in the price.

If Rice goes for £105M then I'd say £75-85M for Caicedo is fair enough.

If Caicedo were to go on and have another top season just like the one he just had I could put my hands up and say fair play to them for demanding Rice money next summer. He’ll then have proven that he didn’t just have a freak season and then revert back to a lesser level.

But on no planet is he worth that after 1 great season. He isn’t Enzo Fernandez who has world class ability on the ball and starred at the World Cup. This isn’t Declan Rice who has been playing at a high level for several years in the PL. This isn’t a generational talent like Bellingham.

We should put a take it or leave it offer of £75m + £5-10m in add ons in and if they say no, move on and target a couple of other midfielders. Brighton are risking really pissing him off if they price him out of two huge moves in successive transfer windows.

There has been a different training group made to keep some players away from the players that will be in the first team this year.

Probably a good idea to separate them.

The likes of Lukaku, Aubameyang, Pulisic, Ziyech, Hudson-Odoi, Ampadu and Sarr are halfway through the door already and never going to be a part of the squad this season so having them around is just an unnecessary distraction.

The primary training group is already large enough as it is with plenty of the youngsters being kept around to show Poch what they're made of before deciding who to keep and who to loan out.
