What is this? to me thats just a young un in a Chelsea shirt, and then at the bottom stevie wonders had a go on a keyboard.

That's Wesley Fofana with a Chelsea shirt when he was a kid. No idea what the caption says but apparently the picture was uploaded to social media by someone who's friends with Fofana.

Masterful business from Sevilla. In two straight summer transfer windows they strung us along only to eventually sell their best player to a league rival for a significantly lower fee than what we offered. And won’t even receive the money all up front from a club who could be royally fucked within the next few years.

Boehly should make a point to never deal with Sevilla again. Shouldn’t even pick up the phone.

Liverpool hit a goldmine to be honest with the perfect mix of a world class coach and a sporting director who understood his manager and could perfectly identify targets for him.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with both moving forward separately.

Klopp is clearly world class but it shouldn't be forgotten that it took key signings to make everything knit together for his team. Can he sustain those levels over the next few years working with a different sporting director to identify the longer term replacements for a number of players who are now the wrong side of 30.

Similarly is Michael Edwards work overhyped because he had one of the best coaches around to make use of the players he was identifying. Can he go to a different team with a different coach and build similar magic over a sustained period.

Imo Klopp has nothing to prove, he has taken two clubs to their peak. Liverpool is overarching, if they can maintain this it would be remarkable.

I consider Klopp to be the best manager in the world, I am with @Henrique when Klopp leaves Pool they will fall off drastically. If Pep leaves City, they would still be equally dangerous because they have money.

Sevilla fans are furious with Monchi.

Kane turns 30yo in exactly 1 year He was born on July 28, 1993, but you are legally the new age on the day before your birthday as you have completed the full 365 day (366 if a leap year) year (it is July 27th, 2022 now as I type)

so next season is his last chance for a huge deal, as he will demand 5 years and post age 34 (and maybe 34yo as well) I expect him to be fairly spent, I do not see him as a Zlatan/Benz/Lewa/CR7 type who will still be WC at 34, 35, 36

if he waits till he can leave on a free (2024) he would be 34 and 35 in the last 2 years of a 5 year deal

I do admit, I might be wrong and Kane stays top class into his 35th year, stranger things have happened, and a slower, less brutal non-EPL league may well suit him and strikers (ex Zlatan, CR7, granted those two are a few in a century genetic freaks, like Maldini and maybe very soon Thiago) and GKers (ex Buffon, Dino Zoff) and registas (ex Modric, Pirlo) are the 3 positions who generally age the best

He's had niggling injuries throughout his career that have kept him out for a number of months at a time, so I'm sure they will eventually get the better of him & he won't have the longevity of some players, as you alluded to.

Broke Barcelona just did tranfers for almost 200m this summer. And also has new players to salary. How much of their goods they sold to do that? Incredible for me.

Back to our case: Berrardi and Fofana would be a nice deal for us in current situation. And get some cheap back up for James.

I just hope that moving forward, we only sign players who are technically good on the ball. I cannot take anymore of these professional football players with little technical skill.

Haven't we been doing that?

Kepa was meant to be superb with the ball. How's that working out?

It just feels like we’re going into the season super undercooked at the moment. Spuds, Arse, and United haven’t made any spectacular signings or anything but they’ve all improved significantly on paper.

How exactly have United "improved significantly"?

They bought a relatively unknown Dutch youngster, their two best players have left/want to leave & they've bought Blind 2.0

Say what you say is true. Gotze was phenomenal under Klopp, Salah was a flop at Chelsea and was nothing special in Serie A. Who knows how Pulisic would have been under Klopp. If Klopp leaves Pool they will go back to fighting 4-6.

Salah was involved in 13 goals in 26 games whilst on loan at Fiorentina and 56 goals in 81 games at Roma. If that's "nothing special" in your book, I'm not sure what to say.
