Thinking Kounde is very much Azpi successor. Given Silva, Azpi, Rudigar, and Christensen all with uncertainty beyond next season. I think it makes sense.

You aren't wrong but we won't know until we see how the contract situations play out first. Silva will likely be gone next year but the other 3 could well stay.

Wait, are people really cursing Dortmund for not wanting/trying not to sell their best player? Dortmund aren't purely a selling club, are they? They still want to be competitive, even if they end up not winning anything most of the time.

Plus, it's not like we've not been in a similar/the same position before. We got Hazard to stay for one more season few years ago even though we could have likely gotten more money and if the reports are to be believed, then god knows how many bids we turned down for Willian from Barcelona!

Yeah but they also just sold Sancho, meaning they aren't exactly in a desperate situation, financially.

Well, unless it's Bayern Munich. 😉

So what I have learnt today is we signed a keeper I've never heard of before, Kounde means bumboy in Persian, ass in Indian and cunt in Czech, and finally we still don't have a recognised striker in our team other than Abraham.

He said, "Dortmund aren't a selling club".

I think Dortmund want a really big bid.

Yeah. If they had zero intention of selling they wouldn't publicly flirt about the possibility someone putting in a crazy bid.

Don't think such a bid will be coming their way though. Marina hasn't really succeeded in selling the unwanted players this window (Tammy, Batshuayi, Barkley, Bakayoko, Emerson etc.) who could potentially bring in enough funds to make a crazy bid for Haaland financially viable, and I have a feeling Dortmund won't sell near the end of the window no matter what so the bid would have to be made in the next week or so and I can't see that happening.

She didn't wait until we sold some deadwood to get Kepa either but that didn't stop her to waste so much money on him.

There is a big difference between spending 70m and 150m-200m (and that's just transfer fee alone).

Well, they have to give an answer if they're being asked about it, no?

Today alone, you have the adviser said what he said and then their soon-to-be sporting director emphasized again that he's not for sale. So, go figure...

I dunno, £70m for a unknown tiny GK with poor stats vs the mostly highly rated young pure CF since Fat Ronaldo, who had unreal stats doesn't seem that disproportionate.

Problem however, is that the club clearly fecked up with Courtois (and what ever other GK targets we had) so panicked, lost their sanity and went all in on a funsized GK.

Are we arguing about Kepa's capability or the difference in transfer fee here?

Arguing about how if someone on the board can sanction £72m on Kepa then they're perfectly capable of putting down £150m+ on Håland.
