That said i think Callum is a lot better further forward than given credit for but there's simply too many players infront of him at the minute especially if we sign a striker. Aye fully agree. I think TT said so himself that Callum is better further forward on the left IIRC a while ago too. A loan move wouldn’t be the worst thing if we could work one for him but wages will always be an issue and maybe he won’t want to go. I suppose we better wait and see how the Ziyech situation turns out also if its true that AC Milan are extremely interested and he’s not completely settled/in favour with Tuchel. Even on the wingback thing, no doubt Callum will cut it against some of the smaller teams or if we need a goal as he will basically be an extra attacker/come in against tired teams in that position in games where we will likely dominate the ball but in the event of a bad injury, loss of form or lots of games in a short period, we do need to have another established right sided wingback in the squad. I mean Azpi could be a last resort there but he looks much more comfortable as RCB now and would be daft to move him I think. The young boy from the academy, spellings eluded me, maybe a loan would be more beneficial for him. Tomo

What’s the fall back option if Haaland is not possible? Lukaku ruled himself out of leaving so that’s a no-go. What’s the sort of midfielder he wants with Billy going on loan which leaves us short? The lack of real info from the usually reliable English sources is weird. We got the Haaland stuff weeks ago and it’s been since from the English press. Pretty much all of the Hakimi stuff is from the Italians. I mentioned yesterday that I’d only start getting annoyed if we saw other clubs kicking into gear. Well, it seems like Sancho is right on the verge of being a United player and Varane is a very likely signing as well. Arse are close to bringing in a couple of smart signings as well apparently. Seems like we’re being very low key and deliberate in the market. Didn't you say you weren't gonna panic yet? Or is it panic mode already? 😛

Maybe not the left but inside position meaning front 3 as opposed to wingback. After City game in the league. https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2021/05/12/tuchel-on-hudson-odoi-s-best-position-and-what-he-needs-to-learn Aye thats the one Livramento. Hint of Italian or something about it! Think people are getting a bit too excited about him as in he could come in and be our back up RWB. He is a good talent, dont get me wrong, but I don’t think he will be in the first team squad and if he was, he isn’t going to be playing as often as if he got a championship loan for instance. I think physically he can handle those leagues and looks ready to go and play “mens football” as they put it as opposed to u23s by the looks of what I have seen and his physical stature but you know, Reece, Tammy, Fikayo, Mason, Andreas all did the loan moves and it worked out better for their development as opposed to coming in straight from the academy. Even if not a championship loan, I think Celtic will 100% be after a RB up in Scotland and that would be an interesting proposition for him also with the demands and the culture they have ingrained there. Plus Ange Postecoglou has an interesting attacking philosophy where his teams seem to play that man for man defending, very similar to how Leeds play with Bielsa, but whether or not they are interested is another story. Believe me I get why but I just can't help myself. The sentence above is such horrible English that it hurts my eyes. Far from being necessary the word back detracts from the meaning. Revert here means 'go back' or 'return' so just saying or writing, "revert to a back four", is the better way to transmit the idea. I'm off to do two press ups as penance for posting this. 🙁 Strike, Vesper, Atomiswave and 2 others 1

NikkiCFC 8,334
For me this price for Haaland is believable. Every rumour offer including us, City and Real is 110-115m. Next year they will get 75m so this is fair. 40m extra for one season is more than enough. 175m price tag not likely. Their stance has been that Haaland is not for sale this summer and if they stick with that, 80-100 million is not going to persuade them to sell when they will get a similar amount next year. Keeping him for another season would help them to qualify for the Champions League and the money they get from the qualification will help them make up the difference. Hashishi 148
We might as well stop talking about this. He wants to go to Real and Hakimi wants to go to PSG. We are signing noone special this summer.

ZERO chance Dortmund accepts only 110-115m EUROS that is only £94-98m using that logic (reducing by the same percentage), we would have ended up with only around £88-92m or so for Eden total, not the £140m-ish we walked away in total payments
Vesper 30,219
If you value Tammy at £30m (we are demanding £40 for an English club to but, so take off £10m in English tax for a continental club) then if we gave Dortmund £120m + Tammy that is £150m which is €175m, or exactly what they are demanding. Toss in an extra £5m (so then the value is €181m) for a deal-greaser if need be. It looks like only £4.5 to £9m helped fuck us on Hakimi (partially) so it is just fooling to not toss in an extra 5m quid or so to secure Håland I have warned since I joined that all these previously sales turn-downs and trying to squeeze every fucking last pound out of teams by demanding outrageous fees (40m quid for Barkley, £70m for Willian, £55m for fucking Alonso, £30-35m for Emerson, £40m for BAKAYOKO, £40m for BATS!, etc etc etc etc etc) would FUCK us now COVID has destroyed the market and we have more dregs to liquidate than any other club on the planet, and we cannot get rid of hardly any of the big ones and people laughed at me when I said the total loss from deals occurring (and non deals, etc, plus bollocks buys, botched buys, etc etc) would be at least £400m (and now likely approaching half a billion)

If they are gonna sell, they want pure hard cash of more than 150 million. Here's also another thing to note, given our large squad right now, we also need to make sure we sell some unwanted players first - e.g. Abraham - because otherwise, we're gonna end up with an even bigger squad if we can't sell after buying a new player. In Abraham's case, there doesn't seem to be any takers for him at the moment.

I think we are well fucked atm especially to do with moving deadweight this December is deffo our last chance to finally win the FWCC (as in 2022 it becomes so much harder) we better not fuck that up its the last major trophy we do not have I do NOT like the club getting involved with these monster players and then (IF it does happen) end up getting punked by other clubs mainly becuase we tried to lowball to an extreme degree it is embarrassing, it makes us look like mugs Milan

We've just won the Champions League with a core group of our squad still young. I understand there are a couple of holes in our squad which hopefully can be filled but we're hardly "well fucked". In fact our dominance in Europe last season suggests to me that we could be well set up with our current group to challenge again. I genuinely feel next season we'll be one of the teams no one will want to draw. In my opinion having Tuchel at the helm who has already proven is amongst the best around at present, a now established tactical set up and a year's experience under the belt for our new signings last summer and the other young players in our squad, I expect us to be far more competitive even if we didn't add to our squad this summer. If we can add 2 or 3 then fantastic, but it has to be quality over quantity. If the options aren't good enough then make do and look again next summer.
