On twitter though, people were analyzing that statistic and what the majority are saying is that Rennes do not play from the back. They hoof the ball up always. The GK takes long kicks Majority of the time. This makes sense with the 52% passing completion because aerial duals are usually 50/50. I highly doubt a professional GK who plays in a team That builds from the back will have a 52% completion rate. I mean, even if you and I were in goal that would be near impossible simply because 80% of the time youll pass to your open defenders who have no-one marking them if youre set up tactically as a team who plays possession and builds from the back. killer1257 and Muzchap
Dimitr 488
Everyone is better than kepa and caballero. Also we will buy for sure Rice ( or someone else) because we loaned out Ampadu and we haven’t rotation for kante and cb.
Pizy 18,897
Long as he can do the basic distribution adequately we should be fine. Stuff like spraying simple passes out when he's under no pressure. We probably have to hold our breath if there are ever quick attackers pressing right up in his face, though. Really seems like an obvious short fix, can't imagine the club seeing him as our no. 1 for the next years. Doesnt match the ambition we've shown otherwise.. Dimitr 488
We can’t spend another 100m for a gk after 5 signings and after 200++ m transfer spend . Also Rice would cost 60m-70m€ so 25m€ for mendy +60m€ for rice =100m€ perfect for me Muzchap, kellzfresh and oldportblue
Popular Post! Hutcho 8,443 Posted September 7, 2020 Popular Post! Share Posted September 7, 2020 He's a 20 mil stop gap. He's not brought in to be amazing he's brought in to not be the reason we lose games and be an average level goalkeeper of which will be more than worth it. Put it this way. We've spent 200 mil on attackers spending 20 mil on a keeper to concede 10 less than kepa will probably be like 10 points difference. He's not gonna be amazing but he doesn't need to be Muzchap, Fernando, kellzfresh and 4 others

oldportblue 547
I don't like the PL proven narrative, that's what leads to mindfuck decisions like Torres being chosen ahead of Aguero or Rooney being targeted before Diego Costa (thankgod United saved us from ourselves on that one).we want all out for aguero but couldn’t get him... not as if we could have had either and decided to go for torres over him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
oldportblue 547
Only if we are able to offload jorginho and sell kante.offload jorginho AND sell kante? lmaowe’re not selling kante as credible reports have claimed over and over that we want to keep him and that he wants to staySent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Glimour isn’t good enough, the same with Jorginho ,so the the path is clear for Rice (or someone like him ). Ampadu can play as cb and as Dm the same with Rice .. so ? oldportblue 547
Very positive news on Rice from fabrizio today! that we still want him this window I mean...If we manage rice this window, and any decent gk (even if its for competition for kepa and not necessarily first choice) this will have been an 11/10 transfer windowall thanks to this don (and marina, lamps and PC too of course):Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk DDA and Fernando
