Both clubs with massively expensive squads filled with top players but it’s straight up frightening how MASSIVE the gap is between them when it comes to comfort and composure on the ball. City just effortlessly stroke it around and EVERY SINGLE PLAYER on the pitch for them is ultra good on the ball. Conversely, our super expensive footballers look petrified whenever they get the ball. We can’t string together 3 passes against City for now the second league match in a row.

All City have to do is get in our faces and they basically snatch the ball back every time like a school bully picking on a nerd. And they’re doing so with a bunch of tiny dwarf sized players.

It’s embarrassing how much better they are than us.

we have 3 KEY players who are not normal starters in their positions

both our wingbacks are SHIT

Azpi (at best he is a part time RCB now, he is shit at RWB)

Alosno (enough said)

and

Sarr (so not capable of playing against a Citeh level squad as he is shite on the ball, like Zouma level, or probably worse

plus Pulisic is just shit (bring on Mount)

Keeping Alonso on at LWB is a disaster waiting to happen. Take him off while we have the chance. Because he can't afford to make any risky tackles and they are just going to keep targeting that side. Don't avoid going a man down. Just take him off.

Sarr is not even PL standard, never mind Chelsea starter standard. Looks like a terrified under 18 youth player out here. Panics when defending, late on every challenge, and petrified to play a forward pass because he knows he’ll misplace it.

A point here would be a miracle.

At least he is still young and can improve. He is also very fast

Alonso is 31 and looks even worse in every aspect

ziyech is fkin up every attack

lukaku is an auto turnover as well

Lukaku had a few really poor touches, true, but I don’t see why anyone here is having a go at him here. He’s making the runs and as the commentator Lee Dixon on the American broadcast has said repeatedly the ball doesn’t come accurately. He’s in acres of grass but our players aren’t composed enough to find him.

Any striker would be invisible the way we played there.

Yeah we have a massively expensive squad, and we are playing Sarr. For all the talk of how much City spent, they are utilizing it very well.

Lukaku, Werner, Havertz, Pulisic, and Ziyech how much have we spent on them? Feels so depressing how poorly we have done.

Been saying our biggest issues are no experienced DoF and poor scouting.

Intelligent strikers know how to make the best out of even 9 touches

Lukaku had a clear opp for a shot on goal and was afraid to take it. Even tho that is exactly what we bought him for

a 0-0 is the best we can hope here for but j dare not dream

We are playing with  10 men.Lukaku is an absolute passenger, I can't even explain how much annoyed I am every time he misplaces a pass or does anything stupid. He really is an average footballer but we all knew it even before the tranafer.

Sarr is far from the level needed for a game of this magnitude but we don't have other options so I can't blame TT. Ziyech also annoys me with his risky passes especially when you consider the restricted time we have on the ball.

We need changes as soon as possible, otherwise the scenario won't be different to that of the first game.
