Lampard for me did amazing in the buying department. I would love him at the club for that aspect, with the buying of players. As well with the youth. 

Tuchel is good at the club as the manager but to have Lampard in some sort of role like cech would be awesome as well.

The major factor was the fact that Covid has hit football hard economically, while Chelsea has money saved because of the transfer ban.

I love Lamps too, but don’t act like he was that much influential. 

Lampard wanted to get Kante for Declan Rice. This is why English managers will never prosper.

Fair play to Hoddle. You could argue he started the modern day era of Chelsea. 

Yes, Hoddle played a very significant part, but the person who really started turning the club around is the now almost forgotten Ken Bates.

Spent years just trying to basically keep the club alive and at the Bridge. No money, shit stadium, horrible fan reputation and attendance's down to levels which would have seen us fold had carried on like that. We either went under or something big had to change and that forced Bates and the board to sit down and come up with a longterm plan.Bates publicly promised the plan would see Chelsea overtake Arsenal and become London's top challengers to Utd.

In came Hoddle and followed a few months later by Mathew Harding. The plan was well under way from that moment on.

God. What a game that. I was so nervous from kickoff and I think I got even more nervous when we went up 1-0. Kante is a top 10 player in the world, the motor he has, the creativity, and the will. It's crazy. Havertz needs to improve his finishing, he could have scored 2 or 3. Pulisic is a menace and worthy of that 10 shirt, he made Courtouis look silly twice. 

Man City will be tough to beat but this team is built perfectly to do this.

Pulisic for now is best to do the same for the final. He is more effective when he comes from the bench as a sub because players will be more tired. Then as to oppose from the beginning. 

At this moment is about winning, next season they will figure it out the best formation, but right now is about winning and Pulisc is best to save as a sub to come and make an impact.

Why not, add the kit men, ground staff & others too ... It is a team effort not an individual effort ... Even UEFA gives out medals to those who have met the minimum criteria as contribution.

Man I missed the second half, but I downloaded the match. We were fucking awesome, every player was on it, tactics were supreme, hunger and desire intact. we battered them, humilated them, Puli played in a way as if he has disdain for them. Players willing to die for TT.

Of course. Giroud also spanked Sevilla and scored the winner vs Lille and Atletico. He was instrumental on gettint that top spot in the group and get to quarterfinals.

I don't know who to believe when it comes to the signings of Havertz, Werner, Ziyech etc. On one hand, you have sources saying they are his signings. On the other hand, you have sources saying they are the club's signings.

But either way, I remember all 3 - if not at least 2 of them - mentioned Lampard as a big reason why they decided to join us.

Eh? Lampard was clearly a fan of Kante considering how desperate he was to use him whenever he's available. And just because he wanted Rice, it doesn't mean he was gonna ditch Kante. In any case though, we are gonna need a replacement for Kante sooner or later or at least a backup to him ASAP because we literally do not have another defensive midfielder when he is not playing.

Just watching back some of the highlights on the Chelsea app and celebrating after the game.

It's just such a massive shame there were no fans in the stadium. Who knows, with the chances we kept on missing, perhaps not having fans in the stadium might have helped keep the players calm but it would have been incredibly deserving for Tuchel, the new signings and the younger players to experience that. They got a little taste of the backing of the fans in and out the stadium Wednesday night and hopefully there will be many big nights to follow.

I don't care what people say about Liverpool and others, but big European nights the atmosphere at the Bridge has always been electric and when we win and One Step Beyond kicks in the place literally shakes to its core.
