Johnnyeye 7,579
i wasn’t expecting this, i admit i was upset with how things were going on, but thank you for everything Tuchel, the CL win, the SC, CWC, reaching 3 domestic cup finals, but results and performances have been terrible, the players body language was worrying, it was clearly not working anymore, but the timing of this sacking is horrible. I wish Tuchel goodluck in the future Fulham Broadway

King Kante 1,643
I don't think the club where planning on this, despite results. I mean why did we get Blood Claart if we were planning on sacking TT? Makes no sense.
Special Juan 28,730
There will be no issue paying the 16M for Potter, it's a different story if he want's it or not. Me, I cannot see him leaving Brighton at all.

Strike 7,761
From the Guardian article There were instances of the ownership attempting to foist players on him. Example was the case of Anthony Gordon who Tuchel did not want. Boehly’s data analysts had pushed for the Everton midfielder after being impressed by some of his performance metrics. Tuchel came to feel he had too many players to accommodate and not enough he could count on. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/sep/07/Chelsea-sack-thomas-tuchel-as-manager-after-defeat-at-zagreb-champions-league

I am however concerned about his ability to command respect from this squad of entitled pricks having never managed at the top level. Well said. Potter is a fantastic coach and clearly a good motivator. He has established a fantastic footballing identity with Brighton and done stellar work with them. Coming here could be disastrous for him. nyikolajevics 2,829
Shocking.. Especially considering that TB doesn’t do this at Dodger, Dave Roberts has been HC for 7 years even though some weak ass playoff performances.. Hope we will appoint some American master coach like Bob Bradley.. 2 minutes ago, Milan said: Laurent Blanc You just cannot ignore that name 😂 Been linked with us so many times and still waiting in the line. It is gonna happen one day! I remember few years ago Aurier was live streaming a Q&A on instagram or whatever and he called Blanc a pussy.. Never heard such true words. Quite depressing.. Klopp and Guardiola were given plenty of time.. Last 1.5 season was success with TT, this season didn’t start well but not tragic either.. His philosophy is that when signing a player, its not his footballing ability which should be criteria number 1, its personality. Character comes first, skill after. Pizy 19,252
See a lot of you here and lots on Twitter who are against Poch. Personally, I’d have either Poch or Potter without complaint. I don’t hold Poch’s time at PSG against him a single bit just like I didn’t with Tuchel. Much like our own club, it doesn’t matter whether you’re a world class coach or not, you’ll eventually get on the wrong side of the hugely powerful players and get sacked. Nobody is going to succeed there longer than a few years. His Spuds team before it went totally stale were a machine. If he can replicate that here I wouldn’t mind. Potter could be special and a stroke of genius IF these egomaniac players buy in. Will they listen to a coach from Brighton without a flashy CV? kc_blue
