Kante was monster. Absolute monster.

I am also very happy with CHO, he ran back a lot and Ruben played really well. It was brilliant performance from everybody.

and Rudi - JT in disguise sometimes -but faster :D

Even after such good display they manage to fuck it up with drama that will now drag our crisis even further and make it bigger than it is already.

A manager doesnt lose cool unless its for the team benefit. Any manager would understand Kepa decision to stay on and continue with game. Sarri got offended and he had to explode just to prove a point and completely destroy the mentality of team. Kepa should leave the pitch if that is manager decision, even if that decision is completely wrong. This shit goes all ways, from manager to players being absolute turds instead of benefiting the club.

Also where the fuck was comunication? Where was our captain in this situation?

Honestly think the player, no matter how right he might be, should yield to the manager.

If he didn't agree, then he should at least walk over to the manager/coaching staff, and try to explain how he's fit to carry on.

Granted Sarri should not have stormed down the tunnel creating more drama. But the coach should always win.

JT said it right during commentary.

But I agree with the communication part. I didn't really like how the captain Azpi tried to encourage Kepa despite all his histrionics.

I know Azpi is trying to win the match, but there are things going on that are far bigger than the outcome of a stupid cup final.

Big kudos to Kante, Rudiger and Hazard who tried to remain calm despite all the nonsense. Could see it in Hazard's penalty.

Should have made Hazard the captain IMO earlier on in the season at that critical point, instead of sticking with the substitute captain in Azpi (great player, not a good leader). Would have made Hazard take more ownership of the team as well, like he does for Belgium in the WC. First mistake of Sarri, IMO

Im just dissapointed this kind of shit goes down in a match after we actualy played well and fought hard.

Instead of having a strong performance behind us, there is even more presure and problems just wont stop.

Played really well today, especially Rudi and Kante. More important than losing a game in the worst possible way

Am Ignoring the soap opera drama that the TV people love and would create anyway if it didn't exist.

Ffs what about Emerson , actually felt like we had 11 on the pitch !

A proper gutsy performance. Kante desperately unlucky with his chance. Sarri has to get more of this sort of performances more often. Kepa, Kante, Eden, Emerson, Azpi, Luiz, Rudiger, Jorginho all played very very well I thought.

Kepa situation is weird but it will be dealt with internally, definitely. If it was a misunderstanding it was a huge one.

Also Kepa sort of looks like Josh Segarra who played Adrian Chase in Arrow haha. Although totally football unrelated.

Me too.

Tbh, till that situation, it was going alright. Good substitutions. Good, battling performance from the players.

Honestly, penalties can always go either way, so IMO it was a good day at the office, if you ignore the drama with Kepa.

Now it shows that are a few more ugly things to take care of in this team, as if there wasn't enough already.

If your Commander can not command his troops then there is something seriously wrong. Kepa should be shot for insubordination.  Nobody is above  the manager and the team.

This was a great performance that deserved victory .

Definitely. Head to head for 120 minutes, and the better team. Couldn't really give much of a shit about the penalties.

Better to have golden goal or keep playing until it gets too dark to see the ball like when we were kids, or little Joey took the ball home because his mum had called him in.

Penalties are shite.

Penalties are fun if you are a neutral, if you are a fan. It is nerve wracking

When we were prepping for penalties, players alienated away from Sarri, while every City player listened to Pep in circle.

Also when we lost, Sarri stayed far away and didnt communicate with players much either.

At break between ET, Sarri gave Hazard instructions and when they walked away, Eden turned around asking something, but Sarri walked away which left Eden quite furious.

One has to wonder what the hell is going behind the scenes because it looks like Sarri is just a puppet. There was zero chemistry on pitch tonight between him and players after regular time.

And then after the game everyone is friends again, but thats clearly BS.

Alonso shouldn't be anywhere near 11 till the end of the season...
Emerson is million miles ahead of him... It's ridiculous members here saying Alonso is better than Emerson

Or Emerson is of a similar level at best. Utter joke tbh

Emerson is a better defender because he has pace to keep up with city winger. Btw what happen to Alonso?

He's just an all round better option for a host of reasons.

Talking about Alonso's supposed downfall?

He's been found out at LB.

But we are just really2 short team without Alonso. Only 2 player with good aerial ability the rest are just tiny player.
