Alan Partridge 1,124
League title in 1st season FA Cup in 2nd Doesn’t sound too bad but I personally don’t want to watch another season of this poor excuse for football. His subs are often too late and his tactics are ugly. The board didn’t back him but I can’t see how this team would be playing any different. The squad needs huge changes and I don’t think his style of play should warrant huge investment. I personally would rather someone else come in who plays exciting football and not this dinosaur style of play. Invest in a new philosophy Even Hazard just had a dig at our boring play DYC.
DYC. 7,542
He gets to leave on a high. But it's really time to go. Chels need to go into a different direction, man. This defensive and chaotic shit, hoping for a miracle moment up top is so tired. And it scares away quality players. MrExcalibur100 7,124
That was some shockingly defensive stuff even by his standards. Lets be honest any half decent coach could have done what he's done today. It doesn't take anything special to nick a goal and defend for 75 mins. Time to go. Today was understandable but your right we need a new direction. Good way to leave on a high now we can remember his good times rather than the last few months. Roman won't sack him today and break the mood...will probably wait until midweek. So Conte got some more days. Pizy 19,374
Almost universal thinking amongst the journo's that he's off. Think in the end it's comments from our players like Hazard today that will do him in. I'm sure quite a few of them are sick of setting up defensively and playing like a small team. The stupid thing in all of this is the journalists framing Conte's inevitable departure as another case of Roman sacking the manager because he didn't meet expectations, when Conte has spent pretty much the entire season begging to be sacked. Roman being a trigger happy owner when it comes to sacking managers is one of the stupidest myths ever. !Hazard! and Supermonkey92

Its going to be a very hard job for us. 1. We dont have a director of football so nobody hearing the transfer team apart from a woman clueless in football and a owner thats in court more often than not and will not have the time etc to talk with whatever manager we have. 2. Will we have a big enough budget for the amount and or the class of player we need. 3. Even if we have the money we wont be able to atract those players 3 minutes ago, Iggy Doonican said: Why did your mum call you for your dinner?. Winning the FA Cup is nice, but winning it doesn't make any difference to let's say if we had lost the final. Except maybe delaying Conte's sacking for a few days. Completely have to disagree, it's all about winning trophies and adding to the overall success of the club in my opinion. Maybe as a club we've been spoilt, but it says a lot about the club in my opinion that even in a bad season we've still won a trophy. Bearing in mind that providing Liverpool don't win the Champions League the only other team to win trophies this season were City. I understand the need to finish in the Champions League places but I would always take trophies over it for the enjoyment they bring. Spurs for all their plaudits haven't won one yet, and nor have Liverpool. With regards to the game and tactics, I have been far from impressed with how we've played and been set up to play in a lot of games this season but definitely won't be blaming Conte today. Final's are notoriously cagey and rarely live up to the hype. People only ever remember the winner in a final and that's all that matters in them. No one remembers how bad we played against United in 2007 when we defended the whole game and extra time and nicked a goal at the death.
