The Conte Thread

He's not going to last the season, is he? I could see him walking, to be honest. The fact he signed a new deal without committing any further time to the club, suggests both parties want to keep their options open. Obviously Conte is not the yes-man who answers to Emenalo that the board want. Anyone up for Hiddink Round 3?

Thing is who would take the risk and want to replace him? Be such a under pressure job with little players to work with and seeing the fact your unlikey to get the players you need to strengthen.

So much potential and yet again...off he'll go...

If you're a young manager, you would take the risk at Chelsea.  Worst thing that could happen is you'll be sacked in a few months and a nice payout (e.g. Villas-Boas).

Some journo's are blaming Conte these smug fuckers haven't a clue. Oliver Holt is an off the scale prick who looks like a shit version of Noel Gallagher.

He just have an unpopular opinion that Chelsea is doing good in transfer window and Conte has no reason to be that unhappy.  I agree with all of his points.

Conte did great last season, but Im afraid he is a one trick manager. It seems he relies on 3CB system. Yesterday the team was playing at home against relegation bound Burnley. One CB received red. He replaced one attacking player with another CB. Then besideds the back 3 or 5, we had a mid with Fabregas and Kante plus Willian and Batshuay. The 2nd half was entertaining due to teams fight spirit, bu the final minutes aside, the team never kept Burnley under pressure.

We should discuss tatics and football instead of silly talk about the board lacking ambition. Anyone who think the team need to spend more 200m to dont get embarrassed by Burnley should stop writing stuff about football.

Chelsea have made a £25m bid for Valencia full-back Joao Cancelo, will increase their offer for Leicester’s England midfielder Danny Drinkwater to £25m in the next 24 hours, are ready to offer £30m for Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and more than £50m for Southamptoncentre-back Virgil Van Dijk.

I swear to god, only we can go from winning the league to experiencing some sort of crisis the following season. Chelsea FC = Hollywood FC.

We're praised sometimes for being such a well run club and then the times where we have something positive to build upon and squander it. Our club has been run by a bunch of incompetent fools this summer.
