Henrique 9,133
He was decent in the clash against Barcelona...but we were facing Barcelona so early in knockout stage because of poor performances against Roma in group stage. Not to mention the team is now 5th in PL table and with few hope of playing UCL next season, this combined with some of the most embarrassing performances Chelsea produced in years, and with the fact he asked our most important player to leave and replaced him with a guy that watched both games against Barcelona from the bench is more than enough to fire him as soon as possible. Conte is no more than an ordinary manager. His has a mediocre CV, and there is nothing special in his career so far that can justify giving him one more year. He won things with Juventus in Italy, yes, but winning things with Juventus in Italy in recent years became easier than winning things with Barcelona in Spain. He did a good job with Italy in Euro 16, yes, but winning things at International level (he didn't even win by the way) don't prove anything about what a manager can do at club level. Time to go Conte. Thanks for the Premier League last season, but its time to move on. Styles
Laylabelle 9,534
Didn't get it to wrong tonight. Majority of the team turned up and if not for some dodgy moments was a chance for job done. Unfortunately job shouldve been done in the groups. Then again even then still couldve lost to whoever
MrExcalibur100 7,124
Get this fraud out of the club. Watch him try and spin a 3-0 loss to something positive. Ever since he decided to be a coward vs City and not even play he seemed to lose half of the dressing room.

Popular Post! petre.ispirescu 4,928 Posted March 15, 2018 Popular Post! Share Posted March 15, 2018 For me personally Conte is the right man for the job, but frankly I think he wants to leave more than we want him to stay. I wish that for the first time Chelsea would show the world that they can trust the manager after a poor season and give him another go. But unfortunately we know it won't happen. Just look at United and the differences between the two boards - what Mourinho has done there this season is borderline pathetic. No title challenge and knocked out by the team sitting 5th in Spain and with a worst defensive record that Leganes and Girona, dumped out of League Cup by a Championship side, all this having a squad filled with 90M players and a 600k/pw one. But he will get another season, this is what I am sure of. While Conte will surely get the sack after having had to do w/o an out of form centre forward all season, poor full backs and a one man midfield all season as Kante had no decent partner since August! To me it looked like he played all alone in the centre of the park all season long... Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Zappacosta, Emerson, Barkley. Add to this a totally out of form Morata that has struggled to cope with the PL all season - Compare this to the other teams' transfer dealings... You just can't expect anybody to mount a title challenge and a long UCL run with this transfers. Conte is stubborn and would pick a fight with everybody, but you can't expect him to do miracle after miracle while others spend big on best players. Popular Post! Eidur the Spider 4,515 Posted March 15, 2018 Popular Post! Share Posted March 15, 2018 Before I start, I genuinely STILL don't want him to go. However, I think it's painfully obvious he's fallen out of love with the job and wants out himself. That makes me incredibly sad, we have turned one of the most passionate, articulate, and decent guy managers into a shell of his last season persona. I know it's easy to just throw the blame at the board but for me this one is a no-brainer. He's been massively let down. I think if this was the ruthless Roman of years ago, he would have gone a month or so ago. The way I see it playing out is like Ancelotti, where we see it through until the end of the season( hopefully get top four) - Can't see it. And then let him go once the final game is over. I can literally see it happening minutes after the final whistle. I think he wants to go and the board won't hesitate to be shot of him. I also think the players know he's going. I can't speak for last night because I couldnt watch but there's an underlying feeling that theyre just playing out the season to see who's next. In terms of replacements, thats a depressing list of options. I saw an Arsenal Fan on Arsenal Fan Tv ,make a surprisingly excellent point, it's all good wanting a manager out but you need to see who is realistically around or available, otherwise be careful what you wish for, Enrique fills me with zero confidence, Simeone is too much like Conte and Jose to last long. Allegri won't leave Juve for us. Next season is looking pretty bleak, I don't mind if Tibo goes, I'm sick and tired of his constant flirting with Madrid despite so-so performances for months. Hazard on the other hand would be a disaster, Looks like we're set for another rebuild in the summer. Deja vu anyone?? 11Drogba, manpe, Fernando and 3 others
OneMoSalah 8,886
He will walk into a top job next season for sure where as we will appoint Luis Enrique or some second rate manager. Exciting times ahead. Pity that it looks so clear that he will go because I think if we could show that sort of performances like the two v Barca and first half of United without individual errors then we would secure top 4 no problem. oldportblue 547
regarding conte, i love his passion, love the way his teams are usually defensively solid, love his character... but let's not act like he doesn't have his flaws. He never, ever won a single cup as manager, not even a coppa italia when he had by far the best team in italy for 3 years, not even a league cup or fa cup when we were better than all the other top english teams. We lost to an embarrassing arse side in the final ffs... Also, he seems to expect to get *exactly* what he wants from the board in terms of signings or else he sulks, and keeps bringing it up literally every single press conference. I understand he expected to be backed more after his first year success, and arguably should have been, but when that hasn't happened, you should just get on with rather than sulking for months on end. It rubs off badly on the players, the fans, everyone and isn't conducive to success.. the atmosphere among the players for the city game was rock bottom in regards to delivering the most uninspired performance i'd ever seen (or one of) and tbh, i put the blame for that on conte and his constant sulking/emo attitude. Having said all that, the board has undoubtedly also been at fault as there are rumors conte wanted lukaku and the board twiddled its thumbs towards the end of last season and beginning of summer rather than aggressively going in for him (MU were already talking to him and eventually got him). However the fact that the board didn't want to spend 80M on alex sandro is fully understandably imo.... and conte reportedly wanted players like carroll, crouch, llorente, barnes so he's not exactly the ultimate undisputed transfer market talent identifier either. All in all, happy we had him, happy for the great joy he gave us last season but will also be happy when we move on from this saga as it seems conte's relationship with the board, the club, the fans, the players will never be the same as last year after all his sulking, emo attitude and uber negative football (v. city especially) Fernando
