The Conte Thread

Expecting him to starting moaning about the club not signing his targets... I m not freaking taking that when we keep losing and conceding 3 goals against shut teams like Bournemouth when the likes of Pedro Chill Bakayoko keep stealing s living... Why substituting Barkley when worse players in Pedro and Bakayoko are out there....

For someone who prides himself on winning, Conte is sure doing a bad job at finding solutions to our problems and making tactical adjustments to ensure we get the win. You can practically copy and paste the general comment on the team's performance from one match to another. It's always the same. Flat, uninspiring and clueless most of the time.

I hope I won't hear anything like Bournemouth had 11 days to prepare. Well fuck that! Every top team has a busy schedule.

Except this time it is a valid excuse...We can clearly see players are struggling to cope with it

So what? Should we withdraw ourselves from 2 competitions so we have more time to prepare for games? Or lose on purpose in a cup? We are Chelsea, we are supposed to be a top team. Every single top team has a busier schedule. And we have been struggling with it the whole season.

Think back before we used to have a bigger squad or players that could come in place of someone else and still get a result.. These days not the case. Which doesn't help. Not a excuse though we were just shite and it's been the case for a while.

I just don't see how the rumours of who he's being replaced with would help him. You would think what truth is there to them...

Very bad day at the office. Doesnt help the striker situation either. That was piss poor planning

All down to Conte's intense training regime. Christensen picked up a hamstring injury (the 7th hamstring problem suffered by a first team player this season) and arguably the main reason why we have looked so flat in most games this season.

Bad move replacing Barkley with Cesc, it was 0-0, I know hes Italian but take a risk, keep Barkley on and put Cesc on in place of one of the deeper MF players. Giroud's arrival gives us another dimension but again is it going to be enough if we've got 2 defensive minded midfield players on and only one or two attack minded players around him? Some of the subs these last few month, fair enough hes complained about the squad, have been bad. Not saying he needs to go, not a chance, hes a top manager, proved that last season but if he stays next year him and the club need to be more proactive in transfers and perhaps he needs to take the shackles off in games against smaller teams where its 0-0? I don't mind seeing us a bit more cautious in bigger matches, we aren't going to pass Man City or Liverpool off the park but if we're solid enough and can get a few clear chances we'll always be in with a shout. The smaller teams though, different story, we need to be more on the front foot at certain instances.

It's always extremes.

Last season he was this god, exhalted above all other managers and capable of turning crap into gold. People actually wanted the club to buy average/decent players and all kinds of 'experiments' because Conte would do his abracadabra ting and take them to higher levels. And you're a fool if you think otherwise.

Now he's a fraud, unmotivated, needs to go bla, bla, bla.

The same thing over and over again. It's the damnedest thing.

Its clear last season he really benefited from lack of European football and any serious injuries. This season he has to coach weekends and midweek and rotate his squad and he has been terrible at that. His summer signings have also been woeful, bringing mediocre Serie A players no one has ever heard of and Bakayoko who no one really wanted.

He's shown so far to be just have negative as Mourinho. His football is just shit-on-a-stick one big snoozefest.  I long for the day in this "Abramovich Era"  we can sign a manager that can produce good football a'la a Guardiola, Klopp or Pochettino.

The signings cannot be really binned on him but at least the training session tactics and substitutions are nothing but absolute disaster... Playing Bakayoko every now and then without any iota of chance of improvement.... Bringing Barkley out of the game when the game is still 0 0.....m not saying he should go but he should review all these and find a drastic solution to them.... Why can't we go back to back 4 when we have average and shut wingbacks...

Who do you think is responsible for signing Serie A mediocrity when our manager just so happens to be Italian and has coached in the Italian league? Smarten up man. Now that Emenalo is gone, there's no longer a scapegoat to blame for awful transfers.
