The Mourinho Thread

Curious...was this your opinion during the city game...never thought we were overly defensive against West Ham either...considering the result

But yes, might have been overly cautious for a few of them..

I said in most games. There were also good games like City, Arsenal, Gala home,...

We played 2/3rd of the team defenders vs Crystal ffs. When you play pivot of Matic-Luiz vs Crystal you would think they have 5 Messi's and our defence needs extra cover from pivot ffs. And why didnt Mou tried Cole- Azpi as full backs more times?

As I said, Mou made from offensive players a defensive team. Thats why we are good in defence, but (usualy) bad in attack.

I stand behind Mou, but wont hide to point the problems he and team still has.

Who do people think we would realistically get if Jose went? There is no one else out there that could transform this team in 1 season. There are so many average players in this team and we don't even have a quality striker. Dont underestimate how much of an impact a few quality players have, look at Dourtmond this season without gotze, they looked even worse tonight with Lewandowski suspended. Look at the difference Sturridge and Suarez have made to Liverpool.

Mourinho will not change his tactics and philosophy, it may be stubborn but it will benefit us in the future. We have to get used to playing this way and it's not easy without a quality striker that he needs.

Jose is a winner and he will find a way to get us back to the top.

Judge the team on next season after he has a chance to buy the players he needs. We should think ourselves lucky to be where we are right now.

Look at the mess United have got in, at least we will have CL football and one of the best managers around

Blaming tonight's performance solely on the strikers is a poor excuse. Cavani and Ibra both had shit games tonight and yet they still outclassed us.

Signing Cavani or Costa is not magically going to improve our build up play, ability to break down packed defenses, decision making in the final third and crossing.

There's a reason Drogba had by far his best season under Ancelotti rather than Jose.

So Blanc is a better manager than Jose? You're having a laugh.

No manager is perfect and Mou surely has to take some of the blame that our form has depreciated in this final part of the season, with onyl 1 out of 7 away wins. That problem to motivate his players in the very crucial moment was also evident last year in Madrid. Let's hope he has not lost his touch and bounces back.
