TrippingStep 336
Don't get me wrong, I knew they'd park it, I just didn't expect a fucking masterpiece lol. What I don't understand is why he made so many changes from the match from Stoke.I thought he would have played nearly the same players. This match was asking players that could do something from deeper positions as it would surprise no one that West Ham would try to crowd Hazard and Oscar.Wonder if we would have beaten Liverpool if Ramires was not suspended and Ivanovic injured that led to Azpi playing to the right and being a big part in the Eto'o goal. TrippingStep 336
One of the thing we could improve watching the last matches is the way we have players positioned in the box. When we have opportunities to cross, the players in the box all tend to attack towards the goal, leaving only speculative low crosses and not more easy back pass. It's one thing we were doing better last year, not so many players in the same line. Parky 739
The draw with West Ham is Mourinho's fault he has to take accountability. You don't start Mikel and Ramiers at home to a bottom 3 team like West Ham especially with our winning form. He went for the safe win which is typical Jose. However at this stage of the season and where we are on the ladder we needed to take a slight risk and be attack minded. Lampard and Matic should have started. Ramiers was poor and Mikel really showed he has no place in our squad. This error could have cost us the title. NishC300 1,865
Is it just me? But what a hypocriticial statement by Mourinho to criticise West Ham of '19th Century' football. I mean it's not like he's ever done it eh? BleedsBlue
lucio 5,418
gets the lineup horribly wrong then makes some drastic change than results in ivanovic playing left back. pathetic
Parky 739
The game also showed that Jose needs to bring in a prolific striker/target man in the mould of Drogba and atm the only person that can do this is Cavani. Another mistake by Jose is not playing Cole as starting LB as he is still one of the best all round LB's in the world. The starting back four should be Cole-Terry-Cahill-lvan with Azpilicueta rotating for the LB/RB positions.I believe Ramiers should become a squad player next season, doesn't have the quality for a XI place in quality wining team. He will never start in a team like Bayern, Barca or Real. Don't get me wrong his a good player and his versatility and stamina will perfectly suit him as a good squad/rotation type player. Blue Traveler 256
I can't remember us parking the bus like what West Ham did lastnight and never moved it!Yes simetimes we played defensively but we always had our fair share of attack under Jose.Under RDM against Barca we parked it a little but that was because we were one man down in Terry at the first half in New Camp!Having said that i don't have a problem with teams doing that as i believe we will have better chances to dominate and score goals against these teams rather than a team which cuase us problem with their counter-attack! with West Ham ultra defense last night we could still find afew leaks and score goals but the key is you convert that few or make thing harder for yourself and we decided to waste them!! Popular Post! Heisenberg 1,824 Posted January 30, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted January 30, 2014 Lets not forget Jose's work this season, we are still in the title race, still in the CL, still in the FA Cup (for how long ?) but overall, the team is promising, and we can really dream big for next season. This is a season where it could finish with titles, or with nothing, but we already know that José will be again sucessfull. pHaRaOn, The only place to be, AswinR and 3 others

We definitely 'parked the bus', i still remember Drogba playing as a LB But we won and no one can take that away from us. So when i see Chelsea fans on twitter and Facebook slate West Ham for 'parking the bus' i just laugh because when we did it they hailed our performance as 'heroic'. It's our own fault we couldn't get past them, West Ham wanted a point and they got it, fair play. bushman 2,043
Well under Jose:Ins: Salah, MaticOuts: Mata, Essien, KDB, Bertrand on loan so far.Is this team better off now or will it be better next season ?I sincerely hope so. However, if Jose does not get a striker who can pop in around 15 or more goals, the team will be close to trophies but no cigar at the end, I feel. It's designed to apply pressure to City and take the pressure off of our own players. Do you honestly think he tells the players that they're not good enough to win the title in the privacy of the training ground? generaldane and Barbara
