Mourinho on Cesc:

So, contrary to the popular belief on here, what I can gather from this is that Mourinho has always been after a playmaker from deep. If it wasn't Cesc, it would've maybe been Rakitic or Kroos.

the link?

he seems to have given a response to costa, rambo, cesc,. cant find the link!!!

Based on how good he set up Holland, Van Gaal vs Mourinho next season will be a mouthwatering encounter.

Van Gaal is practically Mourinho's (and Pep's) father so yes, it should be. It's going to be a great tactical match up; if LVG manages to get in the right signings, United will be a huge threat next year.

True. I think we have a reason to be concerned about MU next season (LvG). And something tells me that we might see the no1 Manchester team battle being a close one.

But first things first: Summer deals are gonna be key for all top sides.

I honestly laugh at all of these opposition fans that say Cesc isn't a 'Mourinho signing' (as if Mourinho doesn't like his technical players at all...) or that he's a 'Roman buy' (here is where they try to pretend that Mou and Roman still have massive issues on transfers and stuff whilst completely ignore the fact that he allowed the Mata and Luiz transfers to happen so Jose can build the team in his own image ). Mou must be laughing too, all these buffoons that think he's only capable of defensive, conservative football will encounter a huge surprise next season. I've always felt that we needed a CM that can pull the strings from deep, delighted Jose agrees with that.

They really won't see it coming next season. I can seriously imagine us scoring a lot of goals and playing attacking football the Mourinho way, occasionally dismantling opposition by a hatful of goals just like he did at Madrid in his second season there, and shutting these fools up; whilst we laugh our way to the PL title.

What's this Skippy (:P)? You boast so much and sound so confident in predicting our success next season and then you end with this.

Hopefully this imagination becomes a reality.

Hopefully? WTH?! If you wanna boast, boast from start to finish man. :Goober:

and that is why it is important that united get that europa league spot due to the match fixing scandal in turkey or somewhere. a united team with van gaal plus 200mil of transfer budget worth of players (though dont see which WC players they can buy to make a mighty big impact than the ones they already have) plus only PL to concentrate on is a recipe for disaster.

Anyone else think those MARCA quotes are way too particular and frank to be from Jose himself? I mean those guys tried everything in their power to make his Madrid stay a living hell and here he goes and grants them an exclusive interview with direct, 'yes' or 'no' type answers about Courtois, Costa, Ramires and Fabregas? I'd be delighted if all that's been reported is genuine but I'm a little skeptical.

I think by now if people are still saying all that bullshit about not a Mourinho type of player then they clearly don't know him.

Cause Ozil was never a Mourinho type of player either....

Marca has been the paper/site that disrespected Mourinho the most in his last season in a half in Spain, I really don't get why among all possible media sites/journo in the world, he would choose to concede an interview to Marca (even if the main focus of the interview is Real Madrid). But maybe José doesn't hold as much grudge as people expect or label him to.

Also there isn't one Cesc quote in that Spanish article and I find the Costa quote much more directed that Mourinho normally says...

Not doubting you, only Marca.

thanks, hun. If they had cited the source - when, where to whom Mourinho said those things, I'd be more confident. This seems simply like a translation of everything in the Marca article and I lost all respect for Marca ever since all the lies they posted about Mou in 2012/13 season. It was disgusting.

But I'm probably just nit-picking too much. Surely they wouldn't make up many quotes that were never said, right?
