Blue Armour 4,443
People need to stop thinking this is the case & start realising that right now, we aren't a possession based side.Yes we're meant to be more counter-attacking, but we end up playing possession based football against sides that just sit in front of their goal.. First things first, I assume he's talking about the 2004-05 season because he hardly played the next year. Ok, here's everything you need to know about Glen Johnson. Ignore the fact that we won the tie when we were the underdog the real tragedy is that poor Glen Johnson didn't get to play. You selfish prick. That's why Mourinho never liked you.Secondly, I've had a quick google of our lineups in the league games leading up to both ties (played February 23rd and March 8th) and the only game he seems involved in is Spurs away on 15th January. He came off the bench in the League Cup final on 27/2.He did start in two FA Cup games (Birmingham 30/1 and Newcastle 20/2) but so did Cudicini, Smertin and Jarosik in what was very much a second-string side.I'm not calling him a liar because I might be wrong in my research but unless he thinks FA Cup games (one of which we lost) are going to lead to a Champions League start when you haven't been a regular in the league games then I'm not entirely sure what he's on about. More often than not, the things they say are just utter crap and forever playing the 'victim' and 'never their fault' card. BloodIsBlue 291
Mourinho: Lampard and Terry were fanatical for victories, young players now want to be rich before they've even kicked a ballThis is why Mourinho is a perfect fit for our club. He's going to filter out all the players that only want to come here for big wages, Mourinho wants workers. And even if that player does deserve big wages Mou won't be happy unless they are working their hardest for it. Mou will make sure to keep these guys on earth, just like he did with Hazard for missing practice. Share Posted March 5, 2014 http://www.esquire.co.uk/culture/features/5832/jose-mourinho-exclusive-interview/Mourinho's exclusive and extensive interview with Esquire. He looked around the dressing room – JT, Lamps, Cashley – and eventually his gaze settled on Juan Mata. He was 25, near his peak, an artisan with the ball, voted by fans as their favourite player for the past two seasons. Taking him down would let the rest know who was the boss; that no one is untouchable. And that’s exactly what Mourinho did. Chelsea, a club that in recent years has seemed like a prison run by its inmates, was under the control of new (old) management.the implication that Mourinho dropped Mata only to show he could and no one is untouchable is RIDICULOUS. I would drop the article back then, but I'll have to write a version of it, with Mourinho's quote for Chelsea Brasil, otherwise, I'd stop reading. This idea that people have that Mourinho does things because he wants to impose his power, his image and whatever other bloody stupid things they think is baffling. The man does everything he needs to win, not for José Mourinho, but for his team win. When his team wins, José Mourinho automatically wins. Why is it so hard for media to convey? The best way to prove he's the ALMIGHTY José Mourinho is winning titles! Dropping a player, proving no one is untouchable, playing the media like a violin, enraging and attacking other managers, playing mind games or what else they say it's what he does isn't a plan to prove he's the best manager in the world. He does what he has to do to make his team play the best football, to make sure the pressure is on him, not on his players, because he can handle it, and finally, he does what's best for his team, not for José Mourinho. kellzfresh, Viper22, The only place to be and 3 others

Hansen famous quote of you can't win anything with kids. Ferguson shut them up by winning, and winning more. That is what Mourinho will do over the coming years. And that's why Ferguson and Mourinho where good friends and have a lot of respect for each other, because they understand each other.
