I know that this doesn't exactly fit the general consensus, but I think Jose, and the team as whole, has exceeded expectations so far this season. I mean, this is the same team that was struggling for consistency while playing some uninspiring and disjoint football to say the least. We were a cup team last season.

I have always said that the expectations that we would be title favorites were always unrealistic for such a young team that has been away from the top for a few years. For me, the fact that Jose has us performing fairly consistently, especially in the league, in such a short time is a very good achievement.

Tbf we're usually way off the pace at this point. He's done great, now it's if we can keep it up till May.

Dont get me wrong, I am super excited we are in the race and the team is actually playing well!

However, one cant say we have exceeded expectations if the season isnt even close to finish yet. I mean, in one month we could be top of the league or outside the top4. It is way o early to make any conclusions...

I'd say we would've exceeded expectations if we actually win the PL. Right now we are where I thought we'd be - challenging for the title with Man City and (surprisingly) Arsenal.
