Because no one here could know if Roman Abramovich and his clowns want José.If they wanted him as their first choice, they'll do the maximum to get him before United, before PSG.Now, José has the opportunity to work in a team knowing he wont be sacked, he'll have some time there, owners backing, fans backing, talented players, and respect of the players.The main difference between CFC job and MUFC job is : The owner.

Money was going on Moyes before this news started - that's the smart money. Now everyone is putting two and two together and assuming it will be Jose. If it is then we finally get closure and we move on to something else. If he comes then we know he was being sincere about us.

Whatever happens, this is going to be the dawn of something new where one of the powerhouses goes through one of the biggest transitions in English football history.

Why can't he just be respected for what he won during his time here? He doesn't need to be a god - its not like he grew up with the club, nor does he owe the club anything.

Moyes' contract runs out this summer IIRC. The logical thing would be Moyes to United, Mourinho to us. Moyes fits in more with their ethos and SAF is still staying on the board as a director and advisor... Mourinho wouldn't work under SAF. I'm very sure of that.

Its all speculation at the moment so some people need to calm down a little.

With or without Jose , we will still be a force next year (providing we qualify for the CL) it may be a blessing in disguise who knows, you never know with football. Just enjoy the ride.

The one thing making me think he may not go to united is his style is a bit abrupt for them.
