The Mourinho Thread

He wasn't asked though. Stupid that none of the journos asked about Baba or Stones, everyone was just obsessed with the medical team "drama"...

Even if journalists had asked Mourinho about Baba Rahman and/or Stones, he wouldn't have said anything. He will just beat around the bush like he has done all summer.

True but on the other hand, Shevchenko, Torres, Sidwell, Ben Haim, Benayoun...

Over the years a lot of transfers happened, sometimes you make mistakes, that's life!

Back in the days, Fernando Torres was one of the best strikers in the world, scoring goals for fun against Chelsea, please be honest;

did you see that failure coming?

That goal against Barcelona and getting the corner kick against Bayern Munich, two wonderful moments with Fernando Torres,

there are still positive things about him. But yes, he wasn't worth that kind of money. Easy to say at the end...

Shevchenko was bad business, thats for sure, but the likes of Benayoun and so on, they weren't that expensive.

In my point of view Mourinho/the board made one bad call with Kevin de Bruyne, probably in the future Cuadrado but the jury is still out,

but that's it.

The likes of Hazard, Matic, Fabregas, Courtois, Costa, Azpilicueta for that price, Willian since the arrival of Cuadrado, and so on were truly great reinforcements, at least that's my opinion.

Yeah today i would welcome a midfielder, but if Oscar, Ramires and Loftus-Cheek can man up, the situation isn't that bad.

I trust Jose with his assessment!

"People were disappointed we didn't buy a striker and people were disappointed but we knew Diego Costa was coming. Sometimes you have to think more than the moment and this is why we don't try to explain everything publically because we work inside."

It'll all be good!

Well yes probably, but who knows he might have hinted at something like perhaps we wont go after Stones anymore or that the Baba deal soon to be completed, instead they kept asking question about the medical team situation, that he after the statement said he wasn't going to dicuss further. Oh well, atleast all that seem to have calmed down abit for now.

I read Wenger backing Eva and him hinting at a lack of unity at Chelsea. One glorified friendly win over Mourinho and he thinks he can run his crusty old mouth? Voyeurs gonna voyeur.

Its not like he hasn't got a point though. This whole situation looks terrible on the club's behalf. Although I'm not a fan of Wenger obviously.

What's delusional about fans backing the best manager this club, and potentially the world, has ever known? Particularly in a debate regarding him vs some nonentity, replaceable, backroom staffer who we would never have even heard of if it wasn't for the infatuations of some internet virgins.

Also, has anybody ever stopped to think that maybe this hasn't been the first issue the manager has had with the staff?

Because the same thing people criticize others manager for are backing Mourinho for similar shenanigans.

I'm sorry but that my friend is delusional.

It's like saying my shit smells better then yours, classic Liverpool fan ideology.

I can't stand his stupid face I'm sorry. You're right he has a point but holy fuck I want to slug him. He's an old man too which makes me an awful person.

Yeah I can't stand him at times too, I would like to beat him up with the Community Shield trophy tbf.

He came across really badly just meandering waffle and not answering the question. He's totally charmless these days his body language is terrible. I can guarantee he's going to be sending Steve Holland to a lot of pre and post match confrences.this season.

Didn't watch but not surprised.

A three week ban seems to be a fair solution.
It's careless riding - infringement of opponent down the stretch.
Mind you if I was Abra I 'd make all of them run around the stadium ten times. They should also have to make train noises "ou-ou-ou" in the bends.

Well no, that would make somebody a hypocrite.

Supporting Mourinho and occasionally looking the other way when he's been a naughty boy because you like having arguably the best manager around isn't delusional, that just makes good sense.

I don't disagree with you on principle though. I don't have a lot of time for people who call out person A for doing something whilst letting person B away with it. But what could this current situation be compared to to say that people supported Mourinho but lambasted person X?

Hmm, I just finished watching today's presser and I really liked it. The same for last week press conference. Those two beat majority of last season press conferences when Jose was there just not to be punished. Yes, he doesn't have this charm/mojo anymore or uses it very little (after COC final e.g.) but he talks a lot of deep-thought inside stuff that you can conteplate over. I hope he continues like this, definitely better than grumpy man, who rejects questions about everyone and everything.

For example today he said that we maybe won't sign anyone 'big' in this transfer window and just do Diego Costa and wait for the right moment which maybe isn't now. I was thinking about the exact same thing few days ago, Jose just confirmed it, definietely I would gladly wait instead of settling for some cheaper alternative.

This is fair, I do definitely prefer this over grumpy Mourinho. He did okay today tbf - I was just talking in general.

I'm surprised that a lot of you are so taken back at how the media have gone about this. This is exactly the reaction I expected from them, it's the English media through and through. And whilst they are cunts nine times out of ten, we also need to look closely at just how badly handled this has all been from a CFC point of view.

didnt think go as far but then also thought the club would've handled it better. It's all a huge mess when didn't need to be

Again Much ado about nothing. Shame on Daily mail for trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. Shame on those who jumped on the Eva bandwagon. She is not bigger than the club. I hope they eventually ease her out of Chelsea, so she can go on her Eva must be tough crusade. I think she has just setback the hiring of more females onto the benches for a very long time. After watching this, which sane managers will want to put himself through this? Do you guys think Sir Alex would have tolerated her? or even Wenger the hypocrite himself? Do you think Pep or LVG or any other top manager would have put up with her? While they were busy lip read JM, why did they not lip read what she said too? Like she was a silent participant.

She needs to just stay in the medical department and stop derailing our season. Do her job or step aside. They are much more important things to do for the season. I used to like her, but now I'm so sick of her. Acting like she's the only sports doctor in the world, that's ever done sports medicine. I really DGAF what any of her supporters say either. This is about Chelsea our team and Eva whatever can go climb the SB. We have enough problems with haters anyways. It never fails, every year before we play Man City, always some type of distraction. I wonder who's getting paid. Someone or some people are manipulating the issues here and until our Chelsea brothers/sisters wake up and smell the roses, we always be portrayed as a half ass club. Like I've said, shit always happens when we are about to play City. it never fails. Think my people, think. Last year and past years we lost Fabregas/Matic/Costa, or some issue with refereeing, or penalties or something. Go figure.
