Iggy Doonican 4,186
From The Guardian Daily Email. All of which means The Fiver probably isn’t a good candidate to succeed Eva Carneiro as Chelsea’s match-day doctor, following her impending demotion by José Mourinho for er … doing her job. After Eden Hazard collapsed in a heap in the closing stages of Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Swansea on Saturday, Carneiro entered the field of play to treat the knacked winger. Big mistake, Eva! Never mind the well-being of the Premier League’s best player. Never mind your Hippocratic oath or the medical code of ethics. Never mind the fact that referee Michael Oliver twice beckoned you and club physio Jon Fearn on to the field of play to tend to the crocked Belgian. Swansea could counter-attack when you are tending to him! Did you think about that? WELL, DID YOU?Following such a deplorable case of gross misjudgment, Carneiro is now no longer permitted to attend matches, training sessions, or enter the team hotel but, in fairness, the writing was already on the wall. Despite Chelsea having an excellent knack record, Mourinho has been furious with the club’s medical team for Diego Costa’s twanging hamstrings, although he’s been far quieter on the subject of his striker playing five-a-side in Kuwait over the summer or heading straight off to Ibiza and hanging out with DJs in the early hours of Sunday morning.Despite his condemnation, Carneiro has received some messages of support, notably from the Football Medical Association and what do they know? “If a player sustains or appears to sustain [knack] and indicates that he needs assistance, it is the duty of the referee to permit medical assessment and evaluation to be provided,” said chief suit Eamonn Salmon in a statement. “At that moment the player becomes a patient of the medical team and it is the duty and obligation of club medical staff to attend to that patient accordingly and without prejudice to the interests of anyone else including the club employing them. Factors extraneous to the immediate medical needs of the patient (such as the stage and state of the game) cannot be part of their consideration at such time.”Despite all that, it isn’t likely to have much effect – the search for Carneiro’s replacement continues. Even Gary Lineker has thrown his hat into the ring. “Might apply for the Chelsea doctor’s job given the applicant must understand football. Not sure if any medical knowledge is required,” he zinged on Wednesday. At least we’ve got a new Chelsea signing to get excited about, the transfer window just got interesting again. Now, does anybody know anyone competent who could conduct the medical Fulham Broadway
MrExcalibur100 7,124
Mourinho isn't the one "demoting" her. In the club hierarchy, the manager has no authority whatsoever to demote the team doctor. And especially at Chelsea. darrus and Blue Armour

She is just an usual physio. Exactly. If Eva wasn't a she, and extremely attractive, there wouldn't be even half of the nonsense that we're seeing on here.If you all want to choose a doctor over the best manager in the club's history, then I'm chuffed to bits for you. Every other day, it's one issue or another with Mourinho. Taking a swipe at his staff, other managers, putting his own players under the bus , refs etc. He's constantly at war with everyone and hardly ever owns up for his own failures. Why is Mourinho always having a go at everyone? Let's not forget we were actually playing fairly well until his ineffectual team-talk (which has increased in its frequency). Then int he 2nd, we came out looking clueless and defensive. That's when Swansea began to completely dominate which ended in Courtois getting sent off. zolayes, The Chels, Pseudo and 1 other

Why break the silence right then? What's wrong with acknowledging people that support and appreciate her work and professionalism since the manager doesn't?Spin it all you want, Jose is the culprit here launching a childish and unnecessary attack on someone for doing their job. Jose has no medical background, how would he no what hazard's condition was at the time. This leads to only two conclusions, It's either jose doesn't give a damn about Hazard's health and would rather him continue playing on with a "potential" injury or He believes hazard wasn't really hurt and just feigning an in jury. Either way, it reflects badly on Jose. Pseudo, Roquila, Zazard and 3 others

Popular Post! MrExcalibur100 7,124 Posted August 12, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted August 12, 2015 This thread really makes you realise how many idiots support our club. The idiots are the ones who think being a Chelsea supporter = supporting Mourinho at all cost. If and whenever he does leave, I hope this sect stop pretending to be Chelsea fans and f*** off to support him wherever he goes. Be that to a domestic rival or whoever. Remember, Mourinho said he has no qualms about managing one of our domestic rivals. If you're willing to turn a blind eye to the incredible amount of negativity this guy bring to the club, then by the side claim to be a fan of the club, you're a hypocrite. Or just really small time. As if Mourinho is the be all and end of all of Chelsea. Embarrassing. Even United fans don't behave in this manner towards Ferguson. I know you're one of his devoted acolytes. Please re-evaluate the reason why you support the club. Two words: deflection policy.Everyone is slagging him off, rather than focusing on the fact that, on the pitch, we're lightyears behind where we were this time last season. José loves the attention, but he does it to stop the papers from focusing on what was a turgid performance against Swansea (even when we had 11 on the pitch).I don't quite know what you're alluding to with the second part of your post. It seems you are insinuating that A; Mourinho's team-talk demotivated the players, and B; that it is his fault that Courtois suffered from a brainfart, and by extension that it is José's fault that Thibaut got himself sent off. I totally disagree with the way José has acted in relation to this situation, but some of the posts on here are incredulous. I can honestly say that Benitez got less flack than Mourinho is copping at the minute, totally unfair. kellzfresh, Viper22 and The Mak
