Styles 9,790
Personally I think he might at a push get read the riot act but I doubt a loan signing all be it a high waged one would make that big a dent in the relationship in the Grande scheme of things. It would be a bit hypocritical of Roman anyway after he got Sheva not to mention the lengths he went too for Torres.Let's keep our fingers crossed Costa stays fit for most off the season and plays the bulk of the league games making Falcao as less of an issue as possible if he signs. It would be but those are mistakes from 9 and 4 years ago respectively. Since then we have completely changed the type of signings we make - so much so signing that signing the current Falcao seems like 10 steps back let alone one.Honestly, we're going into the season hoping he doesn't have to play that much. This is such a shit deal Tomo

This is such a shit deal I don't think a one off will be that much of a step back especially if we in general stick to the transfer policy we adopted. Can't argue with the last paragraph,an even bigger problem is even if he magically replicates his Leti form can we justify spending big money on a 30 year old? Especially as we have one of the best strikers in the world already. Styles

I believe Wilkins when he said, two or three years ago, that Carlo was the one who initiated and pushed for that deal. Muzchap

It's clear that promises were made to Nando during the recruitment process and my guess is that Roman felt honour bound to see that they were kept. I like that Mr A has that quality about him so I wouldn't want to see a change but it's a safe bet that he's counselled himself to be more careful about what is promised in future. Fully agree with that, I don't know if you were on here when Rafa was appointed but I was really pissed off with some of the comments about Roman when that happened, we are very lucky to have him and seeing owners at other clubs like Newcastle and Blackburn serves to put that into perspective even more. Henrique 9,133
I'm expecting some moves in market. We can't rely in a back 4 with Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill and Azpilicueta for another season. Full-backs must be a priority. TheIceMan and Peace.

Full-backs must be a priority.Surely you mean a Center Back.I can't see Jose dropping any of Ivanovic/Azpi. Someone will replace Filipe eventually if he asked to leave but the coach is most definitely satisfied with the current set of FBs whereas he doesn't have the same kind of faith in Cahill. There are currently no real critical position where we need strengthening unlike last summer, but a top ball playing CB would be the closest thing to it. I think the club is waiting for a good opportunity similar to Benatia with Bayern.

boshman 1,073
so many areas we could strengthen, come on Jose, wake up!!That's a bit harsh. We have a first 11 that walked the league pretty much last season. The only way to strengthen that is with absolute worldies. Name me one worldie who is available and not at a ridiculous price. It isn't as simple as going out and buying this player and that player. Cut him some slack.
