maybe you are not familar with the concept of HD channels. may not get those in the pubs.

so jose does not watch cuadrado in the flesh? infact i would guess that he watches him train and play everyday so i would take his opinion over some troll who judges a player over 288 minutes. i guess your old eyes might need more than just spectacles grandpa...

by the way, are not u using a keyboard too?

Err i'm a season ticket holder

Unsurprisingly, Mourinho said he's targeting 'fresh blood' to improve the squad for next season. Think he mentioned somewhere about getting 1-2 new players, although I suspect there might be slightly more than that.

I think it's obvious we'll be looking for a backup keeper, a striker, an attacking midfielder, probably a defender as well as replacing any player that might be heading out )apart from Didier and Petr, obviously). Could be a very busy summer...

After 2005/2006 we rested on our laurels and slowly got worse which culminated in the horror season of 10/11, yes we still won trophies but it was clear as early as 2007 that we were going to need younger blood sooner rather than later.

Hopefully we do things differently this time, there is always way's to improve a team/squad.

That's what happens when you replace the old engineer with a new one.

We'd have won so much more had Mou stayed...

Yeah we made some fuked up appointments Scolari being the worst, thank god we had a bunch of world class serial winner's in their prime else I'd dread to think the damage he would have done.

Maybe. Maybe not.

Think it was the right thing to happen when Mourinho left the time he did in 2007. It allowed him to gain experience in different leagues and even he wanted to win the 3 main leagues. If he hadn't been sacked then, he would have probably left at some point and the timeline of events may have turned out differently to the one we've experienced.

You have a fair point there.

Infact if he was going to leave the best circumstance in hindsight would have been to leave in the summer of 2007 and Carlo to take over for a few years then given his last two season's for Milan after that summer where underwhelming.

Although the fact he stayed through all the power struggles, Sheva getting signed against what he wanted and the general lack of funds post 2006 speaks volumes for how much he loves this club.

Even if he has stayed he would have left eventually maybe 1-2 years later anyway because he always said he wanted a career around Europe top teams at one point. I would rather he left Inter for Madrid than us for Madrid, that would have made many of us very bitter and thankfully didn't happen.

As for his love it is undeniable...think he loves all the clubs he managed apart from maybe Madrid, but he still respects them.

That could have happened. Roman did want Ancelotti in 2008 but he wanted to stay at Milan and we ended up with Scolari instead.

All in all i was a little bit disappointed that Jose continued keeping his squad small.
Why didn't Jose use more young players in the last games of the season?
We already are the Champions of England and it would have been the perfect benchmark for next season who we can trust.

Jose is always so serious, he cares so much about winning, but if his aim is still building a team for the next decade we have to integrate more guys from the academy. At the moment English prospects are quite expensive and with the increase of the TV money its still going up.

Nonetheless i trust Jose and he knows what is best for us. I expect a new engine in midfield.
