Game plan went very well, but individual mistakes cost us. Can't slate the defense that has been so immense all season for one bad game. This wasn't our day, but we'll be there next season. We showed nothing.One of the most stupid decisions to allow Courtois play in the semis.Congrats to Atletico and good luck in the final.He has earned it. Second substitute shouldn't have happened; we were so much more compact before the sub and I think we would of rode Athletico's pressure in the second half and it could of swung the other way. Penalty was annoying, Costa played for it but no idea what Eto was doing.Hazard fell asleep for both the goals, just wasn't concentrating. Simeone has anounced himself as an elite coach.Sad to see this, semi-final isn't bad, but of course everyone wanted the final. Next year we'll be more dangerous. Atlético are no pushovers and as I tought, worst matchup for us. We just didn't have it to was hopeful after the Torres goal but we gave ourselves to much to do by not scoring in Madrid.. The first and the third goal were both very lucky bounces that led to them. Still, we deserved to lose and in retrospect, despite making the semi-final of the CL, we only beat one good team the entire tournament (and that was on away goals) so we were very lucky to have come this far. We are a team in progress but the most disappointing thing for me is that we don't seem to be improving as the year goes on. Not our day to say the least, though, it is an achievement to reach the semis with team of ours - we lack a proper striker(s) and balance in general. We will be back.Silver lining to all this is that it stressed the need for 2-3 marquee signings to share the pressure and deliver. This match was obviously a big disappointment from our point of view, but you got to give it to Atletico for they where the better team tonight, with Thibaut sadly for us having a great game.
