THIS!!!! I love this line.. I know former international players that coach the kids around my area who are well into the 50s and can play the game just as good as anyone today they may not have the pace or stamina anymore but the touch never leaves

if you get the chance see Zola playing in the Masters 2 years ago

btw Stanley Mathews was playing in the equivalent of the PL at 50 and was still a star ... I was lucky enough to see him playing live

He does look an absolute class above anything we currently have in that video doesn't he?

If nothing else at least now we'll have a striker who isn't scared to have a shot unlike Timid Torres. I think he'll be a major coup for us.

When those comments were said he was young and immature. I'm sure he would of matured a little by now and as long as he scores I don't care what he's said. Also Rafa said the same and he did everything he could to win us trophies.

Don't give a damn what he said years ago, people change. If he puts in good performances and works hard then he will be great. It's not like he has bitten one of our players (Suarez).

Actually Suarez is a cunt but he never said anything insulting about our club, our supporters, our coach or our playing style.

It'll be interesting to see how he will be deployed. At Anzhi he appeared to play either the 10 or inside forward role, when at Inter Jose often played him out wide too.

I anticipate he will be apart of a fluid front four capable of drifting into different positions but what we do lack is presence in the box I hope he has the guile to deliver that.

We won't need him to score 30+ goals maybe 15-20 of the right goals, not the typical Torres 3rd goal of 5 total. Score in big games and kill off the smaller ones.
