Interesting player, could be another great squad option but makes me wonder what that means for someone like Ramires to be honest. Could take Mikel's spot in the squad if that Galatasaray rumour is true and he's also retired from international football which places a few less demands on his time and means no buggering off in January 2015.

Boy, you're really holding out on Mikel to Galatasaray aren't you? :D

Apparently we'd only let him go if we got an offer we couldn't refuse.

Honestly I think this Boateng story is one that just gets churned up in summer when we're looking at other players. Maybe his agents are trying to get a bit of interest in him or maybe we're trying to drive the price of someone else down.

Maybe the club see him as someone who could perhaps take over the squad duties of Mikel and Ramires next season....

Boateng gives nothing in return to replace Ramires, because Boateng would be more of the same thing we already have with De Bruyne!

Ramires gives us that pace for counters and incredible work-rate and stamina not many midfielders have nowadays. Yes, he is a bit sloppy, but he is still a very important player to have in our squad because he gives the team a new dimension whenever needed.

Prince will be a versatile midfielder who can play out wide and on the pivot as well. But all if this is very similiar to a certain player loaned out to Bundesliga and that has a contract with Chelsea.

However, I much prefer keeping both Rambo and KDB than to invest 15mi (which can mean a new CB or DM) to go and get Boateng...

Thank you! Whay I was trying to say but more eloquently put.

This is my last post in this topic.

For people saying he will 'add-depth' or is a 'versatile player', what happens to our current squad when, say, the likes of De Rossi/Schurrle arrive or we decide to develop de Bruyne or even Aké? What happens is that the likes of Mikel, Lampard and Ramires (our most versatile player by the way) drop to the bench and, therefore, our bench becomes stronger.

If we actually try to address our most important needs as a squad, e.g. DLP/DM etc. instead of buying random players, our bench naturally becomes stronger, adding 'depth'. If done right, next season's bench can consist of some of last season's first team, which doesn't sound too bad at all.

Not to mention KPB is a cunt.

Fin.

If we are indeed linked with him, where will he play? I won't pretend to be an "expert" in Italian football because I don't watch it all that often, unless there's a Serie A game on ESPN and I'm bored out my tits. Does he/can he operate on the wing? Because I think we have enough CMs...

However despite all that I genuinely think that his name is just being flung around and mentioned alongside Chelsea to raise his price.

THIS!

 I must be watching a different Serie A than you, mate!

He's a decent player on his day but is incredibly inconsistent. He relies on his pace bursting forward and his stamina to keep running. But technically and tactically he is very weak.

Kevin Prince Boateng is such an average player. His game is mainly based on stamina and energy and take that out of his game, he's pretty much poor. The players we have now can provide what KPB gives and more. Will be a waste of space and a needless signing especially when he's not the type of midfielder we need!

For me Chelsea don't need him.He made very good last season, but that season he is awful.I haven't watched his game this season, maybe 4,5 but I heard that from Milan fans. And we have enough players on this posistion where he play. And in the end I don't like him at all after he injured Ballack. So he can look elswhere and hope rumours aren't true.

he is technically well gifted and has a great shot. he can pass, shoot, nearly everything. and efen defensive-wise he aint bad too. for 15 m we should consider, even though he aint that creative-type we mabye would need.

as I already said, he often plays as a CM for Milan and did play in a double pivot for ghana, where he was amazing.

KPB is a CM, in Milan he played mostly as a AM because they havent found their new traquista but that doesnt change the fact he's a CM.

I like him, i think he could be a very good squad player, but i dont know what Jose's plans are, i mean i dont think he should be the starter CM because i want a DLP in this position.... we shall see.
