Fulham Broadway 17,365
Good signings for themI rate Ferdandinho -Navas probably got confused with Malaga/Manchester -he was homesick before. But it looks like they will be spending around £100m mark as usual -come on Roman get yer cheque book out.
The Skipper 20,609
Sky sources saying its a £34m deal. Wow.
Pizy 18,994
34m for someone who isn't a superstar and is 28 seems insane. More than Hazard? Wow.
Term-X 7,891
Chelsea splashed the cash on youngsters like Oscar, Hazard and even Azpilicueta for the long term. City have splurged a shit load on a 27 year old and a 28 year old, for the 'now' to win trophies short-term.
OneMoSalah 8,889
34 million for Fernandinho, who is pretty much unproven outside of Ukraine. Not even a regular in the Brazilian NT. He looked good in the CL but 34 million is an abysmal deal on Citys behalf.
Leif 6,006
This is the difference between us and City when it comes to cash. We look at long term. We bought Ashley Cole quite young, Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Luiz (sorta), Azpi etc. and they all play very well. But they go out and buy Clichy's, Navas's etc. who only have a few years left of top football and at stupidly high prices more often than not. Where is the next 'star' in their team? Nastasic? That's literally it. Idiots. They may very well win a trophy or two now, but in 5 years? Where will they be? Not at the top like us I'd be willing to bet. Madmax 9,219
Good player but you'd think Shaktar are laughing right now. 34 fucking million.

When all of these players fall off they'll just do what they're gonna do this summer and spend another £100m.I like our way better. I do feel that we do need significant spending this summer in order to feel completely confident about challenging for the title. I agree with some people here that as of this moment, ON PAPER, City have a better and more balanced squad than us. I completely trust Jose to make the right buys. Tomo 21,751
City are one of the most over-rated teams in the history of English football.Yes their very good and will probably be up there next season, but they haven't had that "it" factor since November 2011 and they are still constantly talked about as the best team in the league (despite finishing miles behind United last term and only 3 ahead of us).A very good team they are, but they are certainly there to be got at. Because by all accounts (Yahoo, Sky) it looks like a 34million feeeither way, Shakhtar must be laughing all the way to the bank. Imagine City fans If we get de Rossi for 10-15mil
Bir_CFC 3,455
City see that we are rebuilding and United just lost Fergie so this is their best chance at winning another title of even 2 on the trot. Can't blame them for going all out and focusing on short-term. I'd say they are def favourites right now. We'll be up there for sure but their squad is ridiculously good right now, not just first XI but amazing depth too. HartZaba - Kompany - Nastasic - ClichyFernandinho - ToureNavas - Silva - NasriAgueroThat's scary good team right there.

The only place to be 11,313
So this is what it felt like when fans of other teams saw us spending £20 million on SWP and £30 million on Shevchenko. Good player but quite a bit over the odds.As for Navas, I'm sure he's much better with the homesickness than he once was but come January I think this guy might be surprised by the shitty Manchester weather. If he makes it to the end of the season without this being an issue then I'll be a tiny bit surprised.Either way, they're building a decent team for next season but I'm still not convinced by Pellegrini. I guess you might be surprised. If we go by TMO analysis, then he will do some damage. I don't watch much La Liga, so I will take the word of a Liga fan over any other for now.
