  1. 1. Rafa Out?

On the other hand, Metro also had an article on why Benitez have been a success though I don't think 'resounding' is a right word to describe his success..

http://metro.co.uk/2013/05/12/seven-reasons-rafa-benitez-has-been-a-resounding-success-at-chelsea-3756242/

Regarding his his failures here, I kinda disagree with this point made.

I read the article & I disagree w/ those points. So we can agree to disagree.

not sure if this article has been posted, but it's another article about the FACTS about FSW. Just a lil' FYI, Martin Samuel is not a lover of Chelsea (I believe he is a Palace supporter) so this is a pretty damning article about the so-call accomplishments of rafadyce. Enjoy

Dunno if its only me but I always get the feeling that he never protects the players in interviews..

Like, let's say the Suarez bite, when asked, he said something like "I dont know I haven't seen what happenned..." - and that was after im pretty sure everyone knew what happenned.

Or after the Villa fans chanted at Terry - "“I didn’t hear what the fans were singing when Terry was going off. I concentrate on my job and don’t listen to the crowd.”

I dont know maybe he really didnt hear it, but thats just the feeling im getting.

Probably just trying to avoid any controversy...who knows where he could wind up next season.

Maybe..

Another thing is that he keeps complimenting himself.. saying he has done 100% good at Chelsea and so on..

He was probably thinking, 'yeah I never liked JT & he tried to undermine my authority here @ die cloob'. When he was gaffer @ he was very quickto mouth off on how he felt DD was a cheat or that Lamps was over-rated. Oh I forgot, that didn't matter cause he was die mahanger @ lpuke.

I'd like to have a "has Rafa's time at Chelsea been a success" poll similar to Metro's when he's gone.

For what it's worth I have been indifferent to his tenure but even if we lose the next couple of games I woudn't be able to look past us improving 8-12 points on last season and securing CL qualification with a squad as thin as that. Failing to win the CWC is probably going to stay in my mind as his worst result but it could be compared to our absolute rape against Atletico at the begining of this excrusiatingly long season.

I'm pretty confident that Samuel is a West Ham fan but he is still the most pro-Chelsea journo amongst the well known ones.

You are right. I got confused w/ Neil Ashton. However I never seen Samuel as Pro-Chelsea. Especially w/ JT. He always seems to be heading the lynch mob to get JT out of England. Ok maybe the Captaincy.

Rafa on Terry: I don't listen to the crowd.

Hmm…remember Rafa waving to Liverpool's fans chanting his name at Anfield in April?

Selective hearing?

It doesn't take much. He could have said: "I didn't hear the Villa fans chanting, but if it's true then it's appalling."

Do you know any other manager who constantly updates his personal website (and his Twitter account) with links to articles praising his skills? Can you see Jose or SAF doing that?

Hmm if they are actually doing good, yes.

Its quite ironic that Benitez keeps praising himself while all the fans think he's done a shit job (which is true)

Give the guy a break, I didn't agree with his team selection, tactics or lack of substitutions tonight but we again brought home the bacon.

Not going over board with credit - you only have to look at the FA cup semi final (amongst other games) for a different opinion but I say this, I hope the fans give Benitez a good send off on Sunday, Jose is imminent so I hope the fans can give the man s little respect and at least applaud him in his final home game - let's show our class as individuals & wish him well in his next role.
