Daniel Sturridge

Please don't sell him. Get him a contract extension asap!!

He's young and has world class ability. Sure he hasn't reached that stage yet and has some flaws right now, but his talent can't be doubted. I think his link up play has improved vastly already based on his little cameos. He should thrive in our new counter attacking higher tempo style. Must give him a proper chance before we throw away such a talent.

15-20 million is a great deal. I'd take it, personally. All he's shown to us so far is that he had one great year in 2011- at Bolton and with us. That's not enough to justify 20 million, if we can wring that, it would be great.

All we have to do is recall Lukaku/make a Pizarro style signing and we're set. Moses can play as a striker as well.

What? You know why he has only one great year? Because he had only one year with chances in the first team. Complete nonsense. André Pierre Gignac was a player that had one great season, not Strurridge, no way in hell.

I have heard this a lot from Chelsea fans and i don't understand the reasoning.

He can be good, like Defoe for example, but not one of the best imo.

Inorder to justify my view,he must start as a center forward and be given enough chances to shine. At the moment,Torres's good form is dampening his chances but I am pretty sure Danny will get his time soon as the Spaniard can't play every game of the season.

It would be foolish of us to sell him off without giving him the opportunity to prove himself and the others who doubt his potential.

The point is, who knows? I think it's unlikely he'll ever become one of the best strikers in the world, but I think he could be a very good, even great, player for the next decade.

I have not seen anything from him to suggest he can be a great player, but good sure - the type that can get 15-20 odd goals in the league.

But that's just my opinion, and like you said, who knows, he might turn out better than that.

If he stays then he'll surely get a chance. Doesn't look like we will be adding another striker atm.

Can't see us selling Sturridge off at this stage of the transfer window and leave us with just Torres. We'll be basically shooting ourselves in the foot if we do that. Teams will then just hike the price of their striker that we want as they know we would be desperate to get one in. We have done extremely well with our transfer purchases so far and I don't see us doing something as silly as that right now. IF we do want to sell Sturridge, then get in a replacement first before selling. That said, want to see us have 3 STs as options rather than just 2.

What, Liverpool signed Downing, Henderson and Carroll on the basis of about four good games each, and you'd settle for £15 million for Sturridge? THAT is Anfield Logic.

Dalglish and Comolli are gone, so that's the end of stupidly high fees from Liverpool. Also he has a year to run on his contract and reportedly wants stupid money.

15-20 goals a season in the Premier League every year IS a great player. Look at Torres. We all talk about his track record and he hit the 15-20 goal mark exactly twice in the Premier League. Rooney has gone 15+ goals in a season 3 times, Van Persie, twice.

15-20 odd goals in the league would make him a great player...I don't see him making that many with the lack of opportunities he'll be getting this year.
