Eden Hazard

Hazard is at a crossroads in his career. Either he starts reproducing last years form or he could be put in the category of not fulfilling his potential. Just hasn't been the same player this season which is not surprising seeing as he virtually carried us to the title. So our best player is off form and we are struggling badly coincidence?. If we were offered £100 million for him it's a no brainer we have to take it. It's investing it wisely that's the problem that Spurs and Liverpool have found out to their cost.

While I agree with you to some extent, I think a half-season of poor form is not long enough to dismiss such a high quality player. He has to be given time under new management to find his way. If in January next year he still hasn't recovered...then yes...I would sell.

We don't really need the money, we need interest from high end talented players. If we can't attract the players to play here the money means nothing

Well with no European football next year we are going to have to make up the deficit somehow. The days of Chelsea buying the best players are over. Better get used to the Cuadrado, Salah type players coming we are not dining at the top table at least for a season. There is no way we would turn down 100 million quid for Hazard the same as Man City wouldn't turn down the same for Aguero.

I don't think the deficit for missing European football is as great as it once was, the tv deal kicks in and that alone will help alleviate some of the financial burden. What we need to be worried about is does a year out of the champions league mean we can't attract the right players? I don't think it will, we may have to pay more wages but I doubt anyone who knows anything about Chelsea will turn down the club because they aren't in the Champs league for a year.

100m is a lot of money and I would definitely sell and re-invest it into two 50m players or a 70m and a 30m/60m and a 40m. Any combination of that would be deadly imo.

Well if Barca or Madrid come calling no player is not going to have his head turned at the very least. As for who would come in if we get 100 million quid there's the problem. The very best players are taken and then the next tier will only come if we pay shit loads of money for them. If Hazard stays who will we be able to attract? It's not like 2003 and with our recent piss poor record who comes in the Summer is crucial. If the likes of Pappy Unpronounceable and Michael Hector are the sort of quality we can attract then we are in the muck and the mire.

Wow... Give me a break please. Michael hector is a prospect. Djilobodji was bought to make up numbers on the cheap. We couldn't get stones and didn't want to spend big on secondary targets. Why is that so hard for people to comprehend?

He is Zidane's favourite player, so it will be a war to keep him at the least. If Hazard joins Real Madrid, I think he will win the Ballon D'Or in the near future and the Ex-Blues thread will explode like someone said before. That could be the moment where the Ex-Blues thread gets more popular than the Players thread. Which is a very bad sign.

How can you talk about Ballon d'Or when he's been a shade of himself for half a year now? Embarrasing. I love Hazard to bits and his potential is huge but right now I'd be happy if he finds his old form again, which would still put him behind 4-5 players to win the Ballon d'Or.

Yes Michael Hector will be a prospect for Vittesse Arnhem and we have even less chance of getting Stones now then we had in the Summer

Four more fixtures in January. Does Guus have any say in what CFC do in January?

Lots of things could happen this month: Ivanovic to Serie A, a new CM, new defender, returning loanees, a new CF... I can't get my head around buying another attacking midfield shrimp though.

I would rather keep him, but he also has to wake up finally, he's been atrocious and my least favourite player. At least Ivanovic, Fabregas and Oscar are trying to an extent, they just happen to be really shite at the moment. This will be a dilemma, sell him, rebuild the team (but then who would come) see him do well at Real (and lose a few users to the real forums ) or keep him and hope that he finally regains his form and he won't turn into the Torres of wingers?

Funny thing is that when Hazard starts scoring again no one want to leave him out.

Oh, look Diego Costa scored in his last 2 games, no one calls him shit now. He's not someone to only pick up fights, is more interest in winding up his opponents than playing football and needs upgrade ASAP. How things change ...

In football 6 months are eternity. Hazard won't leave this month, 100%. And if he will again be the best player in the league, who wants him out, remind me again ?

I sometimes think we don't deserve him. Maybe it's only minority that voices are loudest in the audience, but when I listen and read some opinions I think we deserve Moses and Ramires of this world. Players who are putting shift. That's it. That's all that matters.
