Reading through that Swiss Ramble thread something that sticks out as totally absurd is that Man City have such insane revenue figures compared to Chelsea, Liverpool, and United. A club that has a tiny global fan base compared to those others and nobody gives a shit about outside of Manchester. Yet it’s perfectly okay for them to essentially sponsor themselves and funnel money into the club.

Yeah. They did it last year over the ill fated superleague affair, without of course any sort of prompting from Abramovitch (Abramovitch liked the superleague at first, then was convinced by the demos to pull Chelsea out). Where are they now ?

Again, nothing really changes on that front. All that's happened is that its forced Roman to either speed up the sale or fight it, which would be severely damaging for the club as a whole.

If a sale isn’t quickly organized at this point there may not be a Chelsea Football Club for much longer. What the fuck happens if we can no longer pay the players? This has to be completed ASAP.

Some of the players are concerned about the direction of the club and, by extension, their own futures, and are desperate for clarity. They are alarmed because one of the stipulations that have arisen from the sanctions is that Chelsea are unable to sign players or renew existing contracts. One dressing-room source said it was “chaos”, with people fearing that the club could go into administration.

That was first thing this morning when the sanctions were announced. 

Have the players really voiced their concerns amid dressing room 'chaos' within about 15 minutes?!

I think the bits which have been drip-fed since would suggest things aren't quite as grim as that because a sale is still going to be possible. It just needs sorting asap for the sake of everyone associated with the club.
