The only real hope City’s domestic rivals have is that the eventual replacements for De Bruyne, Gündogan, Bernardo, Mahrez generation don’t work out as well. And more importantly that Pep gets burned out and retires.

The only team that has bettered them in recent years had to be just about perfect. And they still barely squeaked it. All it takes in 1 bad month over a 38 game season and you see what happened with Arse this year. That’s how absurd their squad is.

Liverpool easily won that year, by 18 points

all teams were shit except for Pool, Manure pipped us on GD for 3rd and they did not even win half their games

Yeah, my bad. Still, Liverpool were insane that season. Anyone hoping to finish above City will have to be a team capable of wining all huge numbers of games in a row and barely slip up at all.

Congrats to City, didnt want them to win the CL and be treble winners, but it is what it is, they were bound to win at some point, as much as it pains me to say it they are the best team in the world atm, Inter had their chances but couldnt capitalize, and Lukaku the less said the better, the bigger the moment the bigger the choke.

Nobody remembers how you play in finals and even if it’s brought up the narrative is quickly the ILOVEBRITISHTEAMS mentality of commentators to turn shite performance into ‘determined’ ‘gritty’ blah blah blah, end of the day we all knew they’d take a catastrophic cock up to not beat Inter and they almost did. City had to face some pretty tame opponents this year so they made it at last.
Inter did well yesterday.
They played destructive football but without at the same time giving ground to City.
It was the best they could and if they had a striker sharper than Lukaku they could have taken it to extra time.

Milito was in the stands yesterday; he would have won the tie for him. I believe Inter had the better chances prior to conceding (Ederson had a dreadful first half, which will probably be forgotten) and only have themselves to blame rather than be content with the notion that the better side wn.
