The Skipper 20,609
Please. Liverpool's attack were undoubtedly good last season and almost won them the title. It's fine to acknowledge that. My comment is merely highlighting the fact United won't be title competitors this season as they have half the attack Liverpool had, who even fell short themselves. An on form Rooney and RVP are just as good as SAS IMO. Korea 734
I'm not worried about United at all. Rooney has been horrible of late, as has Van Persie, who is also turning 32 and getting on a bit. Those two are no comparison to Suarez and Sturridge last year. Plus Liverpool had Gerrard bossing the midfield with Sterling, Henderson and Coutinho running riot. They had a formidable attack with the occasional defender in Skrtel floating forward and netting a few. United are still at least two elite players from competiting for the title.Disagree....In form Rooney+RVP are better than suarez + daniel... Liverpool reminds me of the phoenix suns, offense at the expense of defense. I would bet United finishing ahead of liverpool this season. Liverpool are doing exactly what the spurs did to replace bale.....Replace their star man with uncertainties. Viper22
BlueLyon 9,359
Milan is prepared to sell De Sciglio to get money for RW. I think De Sciglio would be great backup to Luis and eventual replacement too.

iseah100 5,612
£12m for Moreno is damn good. Finally the scousers make a good deal.Atletico shopping in Mexico, pick up strikers Raul Jimenez and Diego Gama.
Pizy 18,897
Good price for Moreno and he's a nice little player but I don't think he suits the PL very well and I'm glad we didn't sign him when we were linked. I'd have all of Luis, Shaw, and Ricardo Rodriguez over Moreno. Viper22

Muzchap 8,966
Apparently Southampton are about to sign Long for £12 million He's not a bad player for that money - he works hard, has decent pace and scores some cracking goals...
Epikur 34
An on form Rooney and RVP are just as good as SAS IMO.Well there lies their problem, they're not in form and form is extremely hard to come by. It doesn't happen by the flick of the switch. RvP is cooked. He couldn't even run out the World Cup and he's not getting any younger.Liverpool are doing exactly what the spurs did to replace bale.....Replace their star man with uncertainties. Completely different to Spurs. Lallana, who is proven in PL, is the only new signee that has a guaranteed starting position in their XI. They've focussed on buying depth, the one area they were severely lacking in last season. I think they've addressed all their problems except for buying another striker, but when you look at our strike force, theirs doesn't seem too bad...We need a f***ing striker
The Skipper 20,609
Moreno - Lovren - Sakho/Skrtel - Johnson is definitely an improvement, but still not amazing though.

didierforever 7,349
Ridiculously overpriced though. Porto just announced to the stock exchange to have received €30.5m for 56.7% of Mangala's rights so in total City paid around €54m for Mangala. That equals almost 43 million pounds. any link? its 32mil pounds everywhere!! Jype 6,398
any link? its 32mil pounds everywhere!!http://web3.cmvm.pt/sdi2004/emitentes/docs/FR51732.pdfThis is Porto's statement to the Portuguese stock exchange on the transfer, it confirms they owned just 56.67% of Mangala and received a total of €30.5m for their part. The rest of the player was owned by Jorge Mendes and I'm having a really hard time believing he would have valued his share low enough to sell the 43% for just €9.5m. Some media outlets, at least Independent, say the total amount was £42.9m which would mean that Mendes' share was valued the same as Porto's but without an official statement to support either of the claims I suppose we'll never get to know the truth. didierforever and The Skipper

didierforever 7,349
So do we need to sell/loan one more player?probably not register mark as the 3rd GK. that would be the plan. i mean with cech and courtois as no.1 and 2, dont see why we should waste a squad position on mark when we can fill it with blackman/beeney.
