Romelu Lukaku

I honestly don't like what he's been saying about a possible recall. It's good to be driven, but he is on loan, and I bet Chelsea still pay for at least some of his wages.

When asked about leaving in the January transfer window he said: "I don't think about the option. I am very happy to be here for one year,"

he told the Express and Star.

"Hopefully, this season will end very well and we will see what happens in the future.

After January, I am sure I will be at West Brom. I am very happy to know that in my head. 'Hopefully, I will do well for the rest of the season.'

The former Anderlecht striker added: 'I don't think things will change (after Benitez's appointment). I think he has his plans and I am happy with the team here.

'If I focus too much on Chelsea it wouldn't be good for me, so I will focus on being here.

'In my head, I am here for a year and it has to be clear I am here for a year and not for six months.'

Actually he's saying the right words? There isn't a negative word about Chelsea in the article?

Agreed. Lukaku didn't say anything wrong, the stupid writer is putting words in his mouth.

Look at this quote from the article: "On loan Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku says he has no intentions of returning to Stamford Bridge from his loan spell with West Brom in January."

Except he didn't... Misleading journalism sucks.

Recall this man already!

I am very happy to be here for one year,

Stand by what I said; it's not his place to make statements such as above. To me it sounds like he does not want to be recalled.

Instead, he could've said something like this: "I'm very happy here, but I'd be happy to return to Chelsea as well; regardless I'd always do my best."

Or how about saying nothing? Not very hard.

He's just replying to what they asked. And besides, he's trying to appear grateful to WBA, who in all fairness have provided more game time than Chelsea have.

Glad he scored but i would love to see the whole match. We already know he can score from 3 yards out, I want to see how his movement, work rate and first touch are improving.

Probably not good enough yet to be a starter at a club like Chelsea, even though I rate him higher than Torres and Sturridge as it is.

RB "It's too soon for me to be thinking about Lukaku, maybe in a couple of games" #CFC

Tweeted by the club.

Definitely suggests we're looking to bring him back, or at least considering the option. The fact Clarke played him ahead of Shane Long on Wednesday gives the impression he has a lot of faith in Lulu.

Let him stay at West Brom, get a new striker in January.

Lukaku might score more goals but certainly wont be great here, does anyone remember how brutal Lukaku was in pre season?, he's still got a poor first touch and he's not exactly a great footballer when it comes to link up play.

His speed should make up for his poor first touch, well if he gets a first touch into space it should. Still needs to improve for keeping the ball with his back to goal.
