Vlahovic is early and you want Broja? Lol

Broja at the very least looks good in the Premier League. There is always the risk of buying STs from Italy or Germany.

Other than Haaland, there really is no stand out ST atm.

9/10 strikers fail here bc we just are and never were an all out attacking team. Only absolute elite strikers or those with impenetrable confidence will prevail here. We can't attract players of this calibre anymore so we should just not spend much at this position. Just buy 4 wc wingbacks instead for all i care.

In my almost 20 years of watching Chelsea games, I would consider only hasselbaink, drogba, costa and giroud a success here. honorable mentions to Gudjohnsen, Crespo... all except maybe drogba at the time came at moderate prices.

£34.20m Costa

£34.65m (granted with inflation it is more) Drogba

I liked Crespo, deffo do not think he was a pure flop, just it never truly clicked, but his first year, if he had played a full EPL season, he was tracking to over 20 league goals (he had 10 league goals in only 19 games, in only 1100 minutes )

I would add Anelka too. One of the few "non-targetman" strikers to succeed here in recent times.

Anelka at the age we got him played with a lot of intelligence. Scoring and assisting.

That intelligence is lacking in a lot of our later big money striker signings.

Prime Eidur Gudjohnsen would be a dream in this system.

Not to defend Lukaku here but I do think you tend to see that sort of intensity in pre match drills much more often because usually throughout the week (granted there are no mid week games), the majority of teams will train at a pretty high intensity, then come the game day those sort of drills and exercises are just a warm up and to get a touch of the ball before kick off.

Even bloody Rory Jennings is speaking sense.

Well not that much sense. He seems to have believed prior to kick off that 'Pep played into Lukaku's hands' by dropping Dias, when in fact Pep was trolling him.
