it wasn`t quite as prolonged as with Fabrice Muamba..it was caused by them giving me the wrong med.and it wasnt supposed to be given to children,my mother said when micheal jackson died that one of the meds he was on was what i had been given.but i can`t remember which one i forgot to say that band sounded good at the bridge.funny when the guy mentioned about U2 playing Wembley and he played the Bridge. ..i was into Style Council,U2, UB40, Cutting crew etc....nine below zero..just came to mind too..i loved the song "11 plus 11" was full of scots and welsh werent we back then. my mother began to swing a bit towards chelsea around those days with her boys Mickey Thomas,Eddie Ned (i loved the guy but can`t attempt to spell his name right now. lol) Joey Jones. i loved those kits too back then. i bought a replica of the old away shirt.the yellow one with thin red hoops a few years back. it wasn`t as nice as i remembered it when i tried it on..although i should have predicted that i`m not built like a greyhound now.. haha..d that. McAndrew,Speedie etc.. then King Kerry for the 3 lions. i was so proud when he was in the 86 squad. John Neal was a shrewd manager in the market fair play. as a coach he was my first love for Chelsea... with the weed i wanted to make something of my self i had moved to the netherlands but there`s so much military history in my family and my dad is the only one who wasn`t. i went through a phase of wanting to be better than him, relationship with my dad is good now but back then Chelsea was the only thing we had holding us together. became a combat chef in the RLC but was seconded to the Royal Engineers. i loved being in the army but had to get out on health reasons. i`m very limited on what i can do for work as am classed as disabled now so i just went back on the weed. i don`t smoke it every day tho..just use it like folks do with beer..have a couple of cans now and again. instead i have a couple of bucket bongs haha..i can`t drink alcohol atall because of my meds so it`s my only vice really.

(i tried to quote someones post but couldnt and now i`ve forgotten who it was (i`m not well sorry for forgetting your name) i got a confession to make tho..regarding imagine your kid coming home asking/saying he supports Tottenham..when i was first starting to go to Chelsea ,Tottenham were a class above Chelsea,at times a division above. they played some real attractive football with the likes of Ossie Ardeiles (sic) Ricky Villa,Glen Hoddle etc..they were winning back to back FA cup finals which was quite a feat at the time.considering Liverpool,Forest and Villa had all won atleast one European Cup sometimes during a stretch of about 5 years. anyway.i vaguely remember it myself but my dad has mentioned it a few times over the years. i done the unthinkable now...i asked my dad if i could be a spurs fan (my ma wanted me to support her old local club Cardiff City.) i was torn into all directions, anyway i asked him and his reply came. "you can support whoever you want but if you want to go to the games, your options are Chelsea and England." i was a bit crestfallen for a while but then a few days later he took me to the bridge for a game against Newcastle and battered them..i think it was 6-1 i`m sure we scored 6 anyway. and that was that. i got back in his good books and he ended up taking me out to spain for my first holiday abroad but more importantly..the 1982 World Cup. i was at the England v France game but then had food poisoning and i stayed with my ma in the hotel as my dad took my sister to the rest of the games instead. i saw the mighty my world footballing hero of the time tho..Platini. (i know he`s an horrible cunt, but that wasnt evident to me at the time. just recall his fantastic player.) he really was at times arguably the best player on the planet in the early and mid 80`s. anyway you guys can kill me with fire now..i`ve just admitted my ol` love was platini and my ol` childhood fondness for the shite hart laners. as for who my family support etc.. on my dads side we all Chelsea..well my dad found out he had a few siblings that he never knew he had a few years back but they are scattered all over the world and mostly in countries where football either aint that big or hasnt been long..e.g New Zealand,Australia,Canada,Canary islands etc... as far as i`ve been able to confirm that i had chelsea in my family was from 1932.when my Grandpa used to go as a lil boy. on my mothers side they are mainly welsh and all either support Cardiff or just watch the Rugby instead. i`ll pass on the kids question,it`s best for everyone really mate sorry.

thanks for sharing that FB. can you help me with the year. my brain is a bit scattered today as have been awake since friday morning..(usual insomnia but i`m in a big one at the moment.ha) that is from the `84 promotion yeah? if so i missed the end bit of that season, after a heart attack..or cardiac arrest i suppose is more accurate (i was only 8 lol) it was from a major medical fuck up after only going in to originally have my tonsils out.haha. nice to see a lil of what i missed. i was back for the highbury invasion at the start of the season tho,my dad would only take me to local away games and he wouldn`t take me on certain tube routes.my old man was quite savvy,he wasn`t a casual but had been involved in 60`s and 70`s . his father used to take him but he died in Febuary of `55...never saw Chelsea win the title after 20odd years of going (well apart from the war years as he was an enlisted soldier in the army. before it started so went everywhere the B.E.F went really. he was a sgt. mainly (he yo-yo`d up the ranks according to the copies of military records, get promoted, then court marshalled down a rank and back and for really..i suppose during the war there was lots of promotion oppurtunities. would have loved him to have been around today,i could have got really deep into quite early Chelsea .. it`s a long line of violent men in my family but i managed to break the cycle when i got into being more of being a stoner..then i gave that up for a couple of years and went into the army myself.

for street/prison yard football: Ron Harris,Steve Wicks,Mick Droy,Doug Rougvie. . for the pro`s. Dan,Riccy,JT,Cole. i really liked Frank the beef. thought he really played solid as a CB but his passing of especially long balls was superb so many times . anyone remember the Chelsea 4- Derby 0 game when Zola scored his only hat trick of his career?..in that game Frank hit a 40 yard diagonal to Zola,it floated with perfect weight on the ball over his right shoulder ,as it did Zola hadn`t seemed to be watching it but as it fell he trapped it perfectly between his studs and the ground then in one fluid movement rolled it off to a team mate.it was an insane piece of skill to the point that i can`t remember any of the goals in Zola`s hat trick but the millimetre perfect pass from Frank was sublime too.just incredible skill from both players. even my manc mate who was in town and went to the game with me stood up and applauded. i`m not gonna argue about that being our best era of Chelsea during my thirty odd years watching the Chels but for things like that, the get a goal out of nothing.attacking flair and football genius.it is IMHO. it don`t matter how many titles we win over what we won back then.i will never forget those years with those players. don`t want to derail thread tho so best get back to those defenders. Marcel was superb of course and like Frank unlucky not to get my vote but when you consider how good Gallas was too before the stereotypical frenchness came out in him. imho we definately have had the best batch CB`s overall when you look back over 20 years of the Prem. in the top 10 CB list we should have atleast 4 possibly 5 players on that list.

haven`t seen a wide body of his work but what i saw the kid looked like "he got it" to me. unfortunately he`s at Dortmund now... ON MY FIFA 12!

think i`ll sleep on it. wanna have a name to keep for good next time.don`t like my current one as it`s outdated from what i used 10 years ago.

but with Shurrle we can buy another player too if we are willing to fork out whatever exactly Porto want for Hulk. presumably around 38m ....20m Shurrle, plus say look at another Leverkusen..they have two pretty good and young RB`s Schwaab(sic?) and Castro. we could dress up as Fidel to honour him if he turned out a crowd pleaser...Marxists just want to have FUN! that Borussia M RB looks good too..jantscke Reinartz could be a good squad option, young and can play in two different positions, possibly 3..(CB/DM or possibly FB) or we can put all our eggs in the Hulk golden plated basket and hope the potential is strong enough already.

clearly left for more more silverwear ,could have fucked off to Real and earned more later on for the coach who brought him here in the first place. best LB in the world deserved to be at a more ambitious club than Arsenal have been the last 7 years and on the best wages. he`s remained the best LB in the world but at the time he was signed there was no one even close to him. if the tag that other jealous lil gobshite fans of other teams want to spew and seemingly you were true he could have easily left for more.

what`s the price we looking at? what`s the problem this time with his current club? why can't he seem to just settle anywhere?..the guy has had more clubs than captain caveman! he`s like the continental Tommy Tynan ffs.

good player, could soon develop into an even better one. i would presume Lukaku would be loaned out if he comes. i`m wondering if he might choose Tottenham ahead of Chelsea tho, just as it will be at a smaller club with smaller expectations. there is the question wether he is jewish or not also, maybe living and playing within the jewish community is something that could draw him more towards them if that is the case.and of course if the starting striker is playing shit he will get his chance at Tottenham. that`s not always the case with us because of Torres. i obviously would prefer him to join us or alternatively stay at Dortmund because they are and always have been a very special club with such a fascinating and heroic history both on and off the field. a superb support, great style of play, great stadium, managers etc..produce lots of their own talent and they are absolutely radio rental over Football in Dortmund. lots to envy about them really even as current European Champions.

the history of ex-chelsea players becoming good managers is quite long. Sir Matt Busby,George Graham,Terry Venables are the ones that jump out at this ungodly hour. -
welcome aboard. i was out in Austria during the summer when Roman first took over..stayed mostly in Mayrhofen. managed to get newspapers but they would be from the previous day..my wife of the time couldn't understand for a while why i insisted on getting up so early to get an out of date newspaper when we were supposed to be on a "romantic holiday" . winning a tournament she could relate to but doing a stoners version of micheal flatleys riverdance at the crack of dawn in the austrian mountains because we`ve just spent 17million on a player she`s never heard of.started to wear a bit thin on about the 12th day of it. will always remember that holiday..i had heatstroke..it was hotter than calcutta in austria of all places, staying in one of those little winter warmer style of houses,it was like trying to sleep in an oven. but it oddly enough remains the best holiday i`ve had outside of Chelsea and England away trips/tours. went to bavaria for a few days to visit all the sites in berchesgarten .eagles nest,SS HQ etc...kinda glad i saw the places but is grim underneathe the SS HQ in the underground cells where you`d see bullet holes sprayed across the walls etc...

i`m more likely to give birth to a dodo but fuck it ,give me some crack and i`ll run with this rumour.

i doubt if many aussies would mind clubs from mexico or new zealand being dissed.

he`s a quality young prospect. but we just simply have higher quality ones or atleast in the eyes of the decision makers at CFC we do..the writing has been on the wall for some time really..you don`t fork out something like £12m on two teenage goalkeepers if you believe in what you already have in the academy. for me it`s just a question of when rather than if he leaves on a permanent basis. like Jack Cork tho i do believe that he could one day play for England, just not whilst with us.

aslong as he takes an extensive medical and passes it...Jovetic.

that Gary Cahill from Bolton, hope we never buy him, only done it at a small club, villa reject.is not our standard..oh wait......

biggest issue i`ve had in my two years here is the sudden appearance recently of the sexual abuse of children as a prop for humour. it`s not been extreme yet really but maybe a moment of thought to the fact that there is in all probability with the number of members we have. atleast a few people who were abused as children or youngsters currently enduring sexual abuse who could very well be reading such posts and it could have a serious negative effect. i realise that the persons who typed those remarks may have been themselves survivors of sexual abuse and to make some light of it may be your own way of coping with it. but please just think about it for a moment and it`s possible effects. i am a survivor myself and whilst i was not really offended by it,..my skin is tougher than a rhino`s ass these days. i can see how it could affect those who haven`t got to that stage in their lives yet. is just meant as a gentle request to all members, nothing more...i have no intention of holding anything against those who have already made those kind of comments. -
waiting for the deal to be signed, before getting involved.

does anyone know if it was a sealed bid or a bidding war that Roman thought got out of hand ,so pulled out? for me i think that is something that would be interesting to know. *for anyone who doesnt understand what a "sealed bid" is ,it`s when the selling party tell potential bidding parties to come in with their best bid with just one bid allowed, the amount is kept private away from the opposition and whoever bids highest with their single bid wins. if it was a sealed bid i think i understand how Roman managed to get outbid, rather than him pulling out of a bidding war.

i`m probably one of the most patient people around but i do feel that we as fans sometimes are way too quick to write off youngsters as not being ready. they go on loan somewhere which doesn't fit very well and that`s it they done now, move onto next young talent flavour of the month. they didn't succeed at lesser team (in a short time) they are not Chelsea standard, never will be etc... we have become spoilt fat cats but i still remember the feeling when we were on the brink (atleast twice during my lifetime) of going into extinction. and maybe that`s why although i don't mind us spending to get good quality in,when we are talking about bringing players in that we don't really need or that aren't that much better than our youth, then yeah i`m against that. we shouldn't rely too much on youth but the door should atleast be left open all the time for them ready for when they are. it`s like not one youth player should even be given a look without a couple of loans under their belt. yes it worked out with Bertrand but for that we could balance it out with Jack Cork, proved himself time after time, got him jack shit. he deserved a chance as much as Bertrand did but was buried under the mountain of veteran midfielders we have/had at the club. and when we on the subject of waiting for players to mature to the mental side of being at a big club i can think of several veterans in recent times who have been the ones who lacked maturity, some of them being ones who we would class amongst our best players of all time. we cut the veterans who should know better a lot of slack but often give very little to our young players. some loans are worth doing and pay off but it seems like we throw the loan carpet over every single one of them rather than treating each player as individuals. we also pay too much attention to a players physical size rather than the size of their football brains...players of all sizes can make it in any league if they are smart enough. ideally i think we should have a young fringe player in every group of positions. e.g a young defender,a young midfielder and a young striker...we always have the talented prospects at the positions and although they won't play every week during a 60 plus game season that seems our regular quota these days there`s time when we can gradually blood them in..i`d rather see some youngsters get just say 10 games a season than 40 at Wycombe. it`s a better experience for them in preparation for what we should all want from them,to one day actually becoming long term solutions for us in the Premiership. some of our younsters were good enough to play in the lower leagues when they were still in school but after being trained and training with high standard of coaches and players off they are shipped to some lower standard of football and sometimes it can bring their level of play down. teams who loan out our youngsters aren't interested in the long term development of these youth players. they just flog them like workhorses and use them to get what`s best for their own club..they may loan a creative midfield prospect off us but fook that they need him to play somewhere else, off he goes and then comes back needing to be fixed of his bad habits learnt at lower level club. i`m not against all loans atall..tho if i had to choose between loaning every young player out or developing them entirely ourselves,i`d actually choose the latter. when we do buy players in we should atleast if we believe in our youth to atleast someday make it. buy veteran players who can bridge the gap..we have been fortunate lately with our young signings.but sometimes those signings have pretty much killed off the chances of our youth ever making it with us because with the veterans they can see a time when they will have to retire. with Hazard for example...that`s it.position not available for probably another 10-12 years. i love that particular signing but i`m just using him as an example due to age.
-
i don't like to blow my own trumpet, but i will...i was one of the very few on here who supported the Ramires signing from the start,Luiz too tho i must admit i wasn't impressed with his defending for us up until the last few months atall..and wondered what the hell happened to the Benfica Luiz. he was immense out in the Benfica away game tho,so much that i was texting Mancs back in England during the game, telling them Luiz is the new Maldini ,read it and fookin` weep! lol they laughed it off but don't laugh no more...they don't use the gary neville line "Luiz defends like a 10 year old on an xbox" lol anymore.

we aint a "help a disabled kids dream come true" foundation ffs and Courtois aint a disabled kid. no need to feel sorry for him. there are some of us fans who travel everywhere to see Chelsea and the club owes it to us to do what is best within the rules to help Chelsea win every game they play in.not what a loaned out youngster who aint done shit yet for Chelsea wants. i presume the player himself is mature enough in the game of football to understand this.. i don'`t think him saying he would have liked to play in the game is a true indication that he has a problem with his employers decision. folks who think playing in the game could only be good for his development are focusing too much on a lil part of the picture. if Chelsea spank Athletico it could blow his confidence or if he lets in a howler it could knock his confidence AND hinder his second year on loan .he could be dropped to ride the pine and he could be accused of letting it in deliberately by Athletico players ,coaches and fans. it`s what is best for Chelsea and could very well be what is best for Courtois himself.

in the past teams like Porto have been able to sign young brazilians whilst we in England couldn't ,with that not being the case any more the trips to Porto (and Benfica) for talent will dry up in the future i`m sure. i know it`s not only brazilians we have got from Portugal but they are the most recent signings from there. Mourinho was value for money and Carvalho was definately worth every penny. (i actually rate him as the best CB import in the history of the premier league)
