he`s had a long history of injuries too mate. not so much major ones. but lots of niggly ones the same as Torres has had. whilst he`s been great when healthy.there`s always the risk that very soon they could catch up with him and we be left with another ineffective and expensive striker. his age wouldn`t bother me if he hadn`t had the history of injuries. he`s one helluva finisher. p.s. i`m a Sopranos fan too.. Paulie Walnuts is my favorite character tho. -
if they are keeping the news of his signing quiet to let him concentrate on the Olympics in peace. they are underestimating the british media and their desire to be the first to inform the world of what others want to keep private.

ah yeah i know about the autobahn or however it`s spelt in germany. i don`t know where else i was thinking of if not denmark then. i`m 36 so maybe somewhere else had it years ago but doesn`t now... glad you do have those speed limits tho. much safer.

there isn`t usually sniffer dogs at the train station i was in. i think they were looking for somebody else and got lucky. when i was in the "interrogation room" i heard the cops talking about what they all wanted from the indian food takeaway. i refrained from pointing out the misuse of tax payers money in using the police radio for such things. i`m an ex-soldier whose classed as disabled now so used that as an excuse. just told them i wanted to try it to escape my gloom as the meds don`t help much. my bag was full of my meds too so i had that to back it up. at first they thought they had some heavy dealer. and although i have been to military prison since my 18th birthday, all my other run ins with the law were before then so don`t stay on my record. when the cops done a check on me.it came back with nothing.

well done mate. is there still no speed limits on the roads in denmark? unless i`m thinking of somewhere else there weren`t before. if so take care.

that`s fucked up. poor souls and the ones who got left behind to live with such a thing stuck in their minds. it`s messed up but folks should always remember that the world aint so much more fucked up than it`s always been. just the media coverage is bigger than it`s ever been so we get to know about it more now. there are still good people in the world, honestly. -
walked from one train platform to another with a concealed bag of skunk in my bag. bastard sniffer dog grassed me up.3 cops got me. i didn`t see them coming in the crowd.

when he first came i liked him going forward but thought he was a liability at the back so used to get frustrated when people would gush over him about his super skills and forget that the most important aspect of a defenders game is his defending. he has adapted fully now though and i now rate him as a great CB. i guess the change was gradual but it was Benfica away where i was really struck by the vast improvement in his defending. all those needless rash tackles fouls had been ironed out of his game and the timing of his tackles and positioning now are superb. cost me a fortune tho as i was texting back to the u.k that Luiz is playing like Maldini. it`s like since Cahill was brought in he has become a new all better player. love the guy to bits now. a great attitude to life and i get the feeling he`s a real good guy to have in our locker room. foreign players can be nitemares for some clubs, with there being a rift but ever since the likes of Erland Johnsen arrived we have had a great chemistry between foreign and british players. Dennis Wise always made everybody welcome and let them know they were part of a family and free to express themselves and JT has kept that tradition going.

good call from Blue Lyon there. i`ll go for Rambo tho..

Manuf`s point he was trying to make is that just because RVP is on 60,000 or any large amount you want to say, doesn`t mean that he is immune to stress. alot of people make the presumption that money solves everything and that just isn`t the case atall.including stress. e.g famous people are constantly being watched and their life is everyones business in the media`s eyes. some people say Eric Clapton don`t have anything to have the blues about because he`s white.famous and rich well his toddler son did fall to his death infront of his eyes. money don`t take away his pain. you see it everyday, people just want to become famous thinking it`s a dream life..sometimes it may be but i`m sure it`s a nitemare sometimes too. ask JT. -
you are "preachin` to the choir" with me. never wanted him here in the first place but hoped it would work out after he signed. Cavani is much better now than Torres is now.
-
not everyone is anti-Schurrle i`m not sure if it`s that many. if you look around it`s mainly one person bringing his name up all the time when campaigning for Hulk and just a few more. Cavani is class. there`s not many people who would disagree with that..just the weight around our necks that is Fernando Torres makes people not want to buy him. i made a point about that in the Lewandowski thread and offered him as an alternative for those who don`t want Cavani through fear of what it would do to Torres.

i know mate. only a fool would doubt Ronaldo`s talent on the field especially since he chilled out on those step overs that he used to do when he first arrived in England.
-
aslong as he don`t paint his toenails and become a ladyboy like him yeah..me too. he seems more grounded than Ronaldo has ever been tho.

although i`d say Belgium are currently a more talented team than us. we are seeded quite abit higher due to our recent history of qualifying for tournaments so we end up playing more teams seeded lower in qualification. where as Belgium are usually say 3rd or 4th seeds in their groups these days. England are usually either 1st or 2nd seeds. Belgium will get there tho..once they get over that hump of getting to a major tournament again success will snowball from there. this current crop of Belgians remind me of when Figo and co came out as kids for Portugal. every man and their dog thought they were destined to be the best of their generation but they fell short of expectations. i hope they win some silverwear but who knows.Brazil always produce great young talent etc..

. whilst in the gun crime capital of the world..probably cheaper at present than anywhere else. we could always make him wear a hoodie ,throw him off the tour bus and say we`ve just seen a black guy matching his description loitering in a white neighborhood and the cops would do it for us. free of charge.
-
only Walcott ,Willian and Maicon really. Hulk is "on the bubble " for me.
-
nice shirt but i won`t be buying it. i have some retro shirts that i knock about in during the week but don`t wear my shirt on matchdays as like to just blend into the crowd ,especially on away days. last recent shirt i had was the black and blue away fly emirates one and that was bought for me by my ex-wife.i wouldn`t have bought it myself. i like the t-shirts they sell in the shops.wear them quite a lot. loved the "Victory in Europe" one from `98. with the Churchill V for Victory sign in the union flag colours. Coors were our sponsors the last time i bought a home shirt myself.

first pre-season game of his Chelsea career. under such circumstances i always look for good signs and presume that any bad signs will get ironed out in time. starting with a game that isn`t the first pre-season game of his Chelsea career. i`d like to see a right footed winger to play on the right and left on left but that debate has probably got enough in it for a thread of it`s own i guess.
-
Kevin came on for the 2nd half but 1st half worth watching too as Lukaku scored and Hazard scored his first goal in chelsea colours :blue scalf: i was pleasantly surprised by how sharp they looked considering it was the first game of the pre-season tour.
-
i did think that strange too. going against the recent policy of keeping lips tight about our targets. the only reason i could think of why he would say that if he hasn`t been misquoted is the fact that Whelan has been talking about it in the media.
-
welcome aboard Sykik. you are not alone in coming aboard for such reasons. quite a few belgians on here these days.which team do you support in your homeland?
-
if i was Malouda and at his age. after winning every major trophy at Chelsea i think i`d want to just go somewhere i can get some games once it`s been made clear that i`m no longer needed. i wouldn`t want to play the "Bogarde" card and soil the memories of some great times. but that`s just me..
-
atleast you`ll still be able to watch him play with us. could have gone to Barcelona then you`d have to hate him..
-
Graham Stuart scored the best goal you`ll see from a Chelsea player. if you find that goal on youtube you`d think he was as good as Garrincha.(arguably the best dribbler in post war football history) there`s worse players than Stein but for a forward 20 league goals in 4 years. we scraping the barrel here. ..he had talent, just injuries and everything meant he only fleetingly done good things here. more a cult hero at best.
