but do we really know that Mata is going to play on the left wing? we have needed width on the right side for longer than we have on the left.maybe Mata was brought in to play the RF/RW role. which is what i think might be the case.

it`s cool that you kinda knew him through a friend of a friend. Albert did play for Spain tho 36 times (his career ended in `99 ,a year after we signed him) and played in two world cups. something possibly not that well known at Chelsea is that Albert is a Gold medal Olympian winning it with the Spanish national team in 1992 in his hometown. .

i think it`s fair to say AVB knows him and his own vision for Chelsea better than any of us, so i hope he gets him.

i think i might be in the minority but ever since we went in for Mata i thought it would be to play him in the RF/RW . so even with this guy being brought in (if bid accepted) i still see a place for Modric or someone of his kind. i wonder if Kalou has cleared out his locker yet.. :eyebrows:

i think he could be great...i see him as being a diamond for us..just needs to polish up what should be his primary role in the team., keeping forwards quiet.! i`m sure he will get to be a better defender in time..needs to calm down a bit more at times and watch those wreckless challenges. he could have been sent off atleast once and in fairness,he should have really in that home game against Man U. he looked great going forward in that game,but we need to remember he`s supposed to be a CB. i got high hopes for him ,i just don`t want us relying too much on him by selling more solid players just yet because i don`t think Luiz is quite ready to be the rock at the back for us at this stage of his career. maybe in a few months he will have sorted out the wrinkles. .

the Prem is a marathon ..we slipped up but we are actively pursuing players that we were crying out for last year. that Man U team was the worst team to ever win the Prem in my opinion,they have bought in well for the future,but i don`t think they have strengthened that much for this season. De Gea will be good for them i`m sure but he`s not gonna be as good for them as Van der Saar was the last few years. not for a few seasons yet if atall.... they`ve got injuries too remember and lost players like Scholes through retirement. is only really Ashley Young who i can see making his mark at the club out of the new signings they`ve made in his debut year. it could go anyway this year i think between us and the Mancs both red and blue.. but i know nobody wins the title before March at the earliest and the enemy will have a slump before it`s done,maybe more than one..

for those worried about Man U`s start. they will slump as they always do at some point,we just gotta hang with them until they do ,then go for it. realistic fan here too. not expecting anything but progress as a club.
