  1. i hope he turns out to be fit for England mainly because i know it obviously means alot to him and is almost certainly his last major tournament with them. however looking for a silver lining atleast those ungrateful cunts that love to hate anything chelsea won't be able to use him as a scapegoat ..they`ll reserve that for JT,Cole and Cahill now. England have never quite pulled the heart strings like Chelsea have..i guess Mexico `86 ,Italia `90 and England `96 were quite exciting but it`s just not the same..i guess it`s because we gotta share any glory we have with Scouse cunts,Leeds,Mancs,Bristolians and shit..has to do with it. i usally end up just rooting for Chelsea players..i`ll support Englands Chelsea boys above the others but once they go out i just root for whoever we got left in the tournament, there`s certain nations i just can't root for tho ..
  2. so you should because he hasn't reached his peak yet, just bursting at the seams to let it out..Hulk style.. if we was buying him when he was younger anyway he only would have been loaned out for years till for a few seasons anyway because there`s that paranoid fear that one bad game from a teenager against top opposition will somehow ruin him when they end up ruining many anyway by holding them back for too long. also hopefully the club aren't like many fans on the internet who seem to totally forget about players coming back from loans when it comes to the transfer market.it`s buy buy buy and totally defeats the object of why we loan out young players. i wouldn't have personally gone for Hulk after Hazard..great player and everything, just would have given Maric and KDB some game time.Hulk is better i know at this stage.just would have personally given those a crack and spent the money elsewhere. however if we do sign him i will probably be happy because he should be good for us. and i`ll support him of course.
  3. indeed. i just don't think Chelsea will do it and i don't blame them. i know £7m is what Roman might pay his pool cleaner or landscape gardener. but it`s not so much what his pricetag is, it`s mainly the fact that players that we should be introducing into the 1st team bit by bit will end up going on loans and we can't trust those teams to have the best interests of the players futures at heart, they may flog them into the ground by playing them every single game or they could just totally underuse them. sometimes they work out well but there`s been far too many that haven't. josh played 4 games i believe for Swansea last year..he would have played more if he had just stayed with us i`m sure.
  4. i watched him play a few times for Cardiff before he had even made his Chelsea debut. he was awesome for his 3 month loan.leading City on a 17 game unbeaten run. which incidentally ended the game after his loan spell was over. he was only about 19,could tell he was gonna make it the way he run the games at such a tender age and against tough and dirty players. i then got to see him make his debut in the same season in a game against Everton if i recall correctly. also i believe like me he is an Hammersmith boy. for those who don't know i have a Welsh mother, hence why i got to see Eddie play for Cardiff as they are her local team..tho i wouldnt go to football with my mother, lol not as a 16 year old anyway, too "cool" for that.... 20 years on he`s got 5 winners medals with us from his playing days and now assistant head coach. with one of them of course being the European champions medal. he`s a guy whose been close to my heart for two decades and now he`s cemented his place in my heart for life now. well done Eddie hope you and Robbie get what you deserve from Roman.
  5. i like the kid but i`m thinking we are moving in a different direction now. depends on what formation we play in but seems like he isn't as important to us as he would have been last year.
  6. oh shit Liverpool must be in for him..we doomed,.who wants to play for the European champions with a glorious future when you can look at old trophies in a cabanet!
  7. well if Ron Artest can change his name to Metta World Peace i don't see why Malouda can't change his name to Godzilla. he says he wants to stay ,might aswell find a use for him. and Godzilla is japanese...
  8. Banner may sleep but the Hulk never does..
  9. somebody ended up in the wrong place..the crack den is that way>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
  10. he`s a cracking player. would take something special to get a basque from Bilboa especially their best one but i`m sure they would rather sell him to a club outside Spain.he might want to stay for longer i don't know..but leaving Bilboa wouldn't be something he would do lightly and without some sadness..it`s a special club. i`d like him but we would have to clear some players out at some point to make way for him.
  11. we wouldn't be able to recoup our transfer fee or make a profit in the future but i don't think Roman has ever been bothered by that..see Crespo,Shevchenko,Veron etc...
  12. i like what we have already at RB in our academy. but with him being available on the cheap, might be worth getting anyway(loan him out if needs be for a year and if he`s not Chelsea standard should still be able to sell him on and recoup whatever we would have had to pay in compo to get him) when i`ve seen him play he doesn't appear to have any glaring problems with his defending but i`ve only seen a "handful" of games and it was against a lower level of opposition obviously..
  13. forgot to add for our younger members that 5-0 game was the last game of the 1984 season and we were celebrating being promoted back into the top flight.
  14. we smashed them on the pitch (5-0) they tried to smash us on the terraces, they couldn't so smashed up our scoreboard. 1970 cup final although inprinted into my brain after seeing it so many times on video,it`s that day that i think of whenever their name comes up..oh and also the fact that we played them in their last Premiership game..in Ranieri`s last game for us. Leeds fans rank us as second on their hate list only behind Man U. i hate them passionately myself but it`s more like i hate hornets. the hate is only really there when we are to face them because other times i just forget they exist now..down in football obscurity.
  15. welcome to TalkChelsea . i`m living in Wales too. (well i presume you are..) Cahill and Luiz did a good job in CL but JT will be back starting whenever he`s fit or not suspended i`m sure.
  16. i believe they had a clause put in his contract that would have been around that much,( in euro`s ). something changed a while back,i don't know if he re-did his contract or if Porto just said yes we have that in place but we would be willing to sell for less. it wouldnt be the first time a player has been sold for less than the reported clause price in their contracts. maybe the economic climate since have changed enough for them to realize how they would never get anywhere near their evaluation for him.
  17. for some reason when i click on links my `puter more often than not freezes and i have to reboot. so will give it a miss for now cheers. i think i`ll wait to see what becomes of all this because there seems to be quite a few mixed stories coming out at present. some are saying it only involves serie B but then i`m also seeing reports of Lazio`s Mauri being involved. just seems to cloudy for me to work through ...with my cloudy head.
  18. ah, well thanks for clearing that one up. i don't follow italian football much since the dutch masters left Milan really so didn't know that.
  19. well if their head coach is involved in it then i`d like to know how exactly that has nothing whatsoever to do with Juventus?
  20. i reported what SSN`s had. although if Di Matteo was being investigated wouldn't that have something to do with Chelsea? what makes this case different?
  21. he`s a great player. but we deep in the position he plays..unless CFC see him as a striker for them.it seems like overkill to me and means that good players we already have are gonna be buried under the depth and wasted. i just heard a Cockerill call out of my computer..wtf??
  22. you forgot to mention the bitch slap on Vidic. that i will always believe was the main reason we didn't win it 4 years ago. he redeemed himself in his last game. if he hadn't his legacy would have been great in FA cup finals but couldnt even act like a man in a champions league final.
  23. i dont see even what the honour is supposed to be in retiring a number anyway,if i was a great,i would want future greats to wear my number and to have worn the same number as greats from the past. but that`s just me..it`s not as bad as Prom Nights and Pagant queens ,gun crime ect. but it`s still one of the stupid things that North America introduced that i hope we never follow. 25 wasn`t too bad because it`s a number that isn't that important other than because Zola wore it.
  24. i kept on coming on getting to the Hazard thread and being spat out before i could get to the crucial news on him.that happened twice maybe three times.i didn't mind tho ended up getting a text off a good mate whose a Manc to congratulate me/us on getting him. to be honest i never get frustrated or whatever when it happens,i use to run a site for 8 years for folks with mood disorders. so know how it can be hardwork at times keeping the ship afloat. a mood disorders support site isn't that different to being on here most weeks..
  25. you guys are free to have him if you want...he doesn't do too bad against Italian teams. and well the old lady looks like she may be in the shit again with the newest scandal coming out.
